Post Apoc vehicle "Man-Eater"
About this creation

Hey you! Running low on precious ammunition? Hungry for meat? We've got the perfect solution: you weld a harpoon onto the cab of an old garbage truck, armour the cab and drive round nailing people like common whales! Drag them in the back and Bob's yer uncle. Just remember to ventilate the 'bucket', lest your meat, er prisoners, go off too quick...

(13th wall commo) Tried a few different things on this one. There's a figure there on the back with an old poncho covering his horribly mutated face (I remembered something similar from an old WW2 movie with disfigured partisans covered in sheets; if you can tell me the name of the movie you get a cookie) and there's a kid there too (no time for childhood in the post-apoc future and anyway, kids make bloody good bandits). The kid and the mutant ride around on the back and jump off to gather their victim after being harpooned, chuck 'em in the back and re-wire the harpoon.

Also on one side of the bucket I've attempted to show a remnant of the original paint job in the dark red. Not sure if it works but it might look better used as dried blood...

A variation on this theme would be to add a front-end loader loaded with a pile o' zombies for a "Soylent Green" feel. Soylent Green is Zombies.

Oddly enough, I was having a conversation about this same subject just shortly before you posted this... Granted, it wasnt about some big post-apoc trash truck. I think I will need to build a response to this one. The trick will be doing it in such a way that won't get my page deleted.

Wow, nice truck. It looks very post-apoc to me! I would have never gotten the paint-remnants, had you not told me. It just looks like blood. If it was ALL over the truck, it's another story. Anyways, great job, and keep up the excellent work!

I love the sense of menace this vehicle projects. The blood on the back doors is also a nice touch. It just goes to show that a vehicle doesn't have to be covered with chains and greebles to be credible post-Apoc. Awesome work.

I think it's cool how you attached a spool to the harpoon gun. Nice work, again.

Yeah Willis, it's our only chance of stopping them. Well Mr. "I got a comment from Sean Kenney"... You guys know we'll never be able to live with him now. Lovin the truck. There's just something about a blood splattered moc that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Now if you'll excuse me, I feel another bout of karaoke coming on. ~ Chris.

Cannibalism is no laughing matter. Who am I kidding. It's funny, unless it's you in the pot. My favorite cannibalism movie...Eat The Rich. It might be hard to find but it's a hoot. Songs by Motorhead and co-starring Lemmy. Have fun shopping for vittles fellas. Keep off my street. garth

The dried blood makes it. Love it! And thanks, fellas, I didn't have the song stuck in my head until YOU all said it. ("She'll only come out at night, lean and hungry type...")

"Whoa-oh, here she comes... Watch out boy, she'll chew you up..." The name of your vehicle put that Hall & Oates song in my head. Thanks a lot.

Great build Shan…a neat concept and the brown wheel is a nice touch. The red accent (as splattered blood) is my favorite detail, though. That, and the guy in the poncho, who looks like a huge jelly bean…;-)

Hmmm...I want that cookie, but sadly, I cannot answer your question. *sigh* Anyway, it looks pretty disturbing (to me, the red looks more like dried blood). You did a great job! Yours brickly, Nick

Nice job. I do feel if you want it to look like peeling paint, you should have it in more areas. For dried blood, it looks like the caped man was recent replacement...

Personally I'd want to see someone go through the trash-compacter. But the front looks really good, it has that home-made armor feel, which is always a plus.

Sweet. I really like the front end and the disturbing little back story.
