About this creation
I got an idea to make this chair when browsing through a chair design book. It's one of the few chairs that can be easily presented with LEGO bricks. I plan to build some more design chairs in LEGO, maybe make a series out of it.
Originally designed in 1917 - 1918 with a natural wood finish, Rietveld painted this revolutionary chair in 1921 as a result of his association with De Stijl movement. With its simplified construction, the design speculated on going into standardised production.

Excellent MOC.
It's amazing as well when the real chair was designed considering the period, it was far ahead of its time in design. |
