About this creation
Above is a sticker with a nexu on it named, "bad kitty" (its nickname during production).
In the clone wars episode "Rally at point Rain" the gunship Obi-Wan rides in has a nexu painted on it, and is also named "Bad Kitty." Coincidence?. ;-)
The revised Acklay, "Don't be Crabby."
A plain gunship (not by me, but here anyways)
A new one of a Bothan "Is this your ship?"
Another one of an Opee sea killer called, "The big fish."
Yet another, depicting a, sando aqua monster entitled "the biggest fish," in time for all you people getting gunships for Christmas. :-D
"Big Beautiful Doll" as can be seen on the p-51 flown by Col. John Landers during WWII.
"the mother of all gundarks" self explanatory I think.
"Flying Bantha" inspired by the emblem of the flying tigers
"Big Horn" I think everyone knows what this is.
"Sleepy Hutt"
I'll explain this...
This pilot originally flew V-19s, but later was transferred due to shortage of gunship crews at his station.
As can be seen by the name, the pilot originally did not appreciate the handling capabilities of his new ship. However the longer he was in the cockpit the more he grew to appreciate its offensive qualities. Keeping the name "sleepy hutt," he had Beldorion (the only known hutt to become a jedi) painted on his gunship.
This represented the gunship's more sluggish controls, but still very effective offensive power.
"Star Dragon" a depiction of a krayt dragon.
"Ravenous Rat" my most recent depiction of the famous womprat.
"Sith Slayer" a terentateck, which apparently feeds off the blood of force users. Also the kill markers are sith emblems, which I found appropriate (not saying they've killed that many sith, but I thought it was cool).
"We are Brave" based off the Naboo handmaiden posters seen in "Rookies" and "Hidden Enemy."
"Boogie" a kwazel maw, wormy thing from the clone wars series
"Enforcer," my 17th gunship, as was requested, with a clone driving an air speeder.
"Smelly Steed" You all should know what this is, the beloved TaunTaun.
"Pick My Teeth" The rancor everyone's been clamoring for.
Wow this page is getting long, as requested, a blue drexl, named "Nobody's Prey."
"Dread" I believe this is number 20! Quite a simple picture, but hard to draw.
This goes out to all you people with stealth/black gunships. "Lady in the Dark" taken directly from one of my favorite planes during WWII, the P-61 Black Widow. "Lady in the Dark" is also the American fighter credited with the last two kills of the war, forcing two Japanese fighters into the ocean without firing a shot.
"Missy Blue" same design as "Lady in the Dark," but without the black background, and named after one of my ducks.
"Peashooter" is slang for, fighter pilot, which I thought appropriate.
The famous nose art of the ARC gunship. Based off the Flying Tigers of WWII.
"Eye of the Sarlacc" appropriately named for the droid escaping.
"Silent Stalker" a narglatch from the "Trespass" episode. Made upon request for "Rogue." (you still owe me $5 for making this)
"Kill or be Killed"
"Miss Universe" This gunship is of a diathem (aka. angel) the most beautiful thing in the universe, as seen in the clone wars episode "Mystery of a Thousand Moons." Also introducing a new kill marker for droid tri-fighters. (not tri-droid's , but that may come in the future)
"Bettie Boom" depicts a bettie bot with a nod to the Classic Space theme.
"Special Delivery" based on an official unused clone wars design.
"Memphis Belle" One the most famous bombers of all time. I actually went down to Memphis TX when I was little where they still have the original plane on display. It was the first bomber to complete 25 missions (the bomb markers) and collected a couple fighter kills along the way (the CIS logos). I tried to make it as historically accurate as possible, all the way to the different colors on opposite sides.
If there are any designs you want, but I currently don't have, look at Joseph Menz , swash buckler , Keinan Sunrider, Staal Kalar, and at the Gunships and Cavalry pool at flickr. Important: ask for these artists' permission, before you use them.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
first click on the desired sticker, when you are viewing the full size image, right click it and hit "copy". Now "paste" the full size sticker into microsoft word or photoshop (or something similar) then print on paper, sticker sheet or decal paper (whatever you prefer). Then you simply stick or apply the sticker/decal onto the gunship.
The size you want is 2 1/2" long and 1 7/8" tall. Also it appears they work on the original too gunship.

these are great. i might use pick my teeth fot my custom brown gunship. you could make one that says "droids for breakfast" and has a clone with a bowl of droid parts... I would use it. im more into the humorous gunship decals. 5/5 :) |

Ok I've narrowed it down to 4...(sith slayer, mother of all gundarks, don't be crabby, and star dragon)... btw it might be good to tell all the moccers using your decals that if you use microsoft word, you'll have to resize them... it took me a few tries, but i finally got the right size.

The official episode guide on starwars.com says they got the name from the same source I did (its nickname during production), so it is more of "great minds think a like." :-) |

oh! oh! i just got another idea, you know the clone wars episode on the 4th of november? well there were some sweet gunship designs! i think you should make those ones, and also, there is a "bad kitty" one in the episode, it has the nexu "riding" the arubush words! but the nexu is black on it, not tan/brown. i hope you also use my other suggestion! |

Oh, "Lady in the dark" is based directly off an actual plane from WWII with that name. This plane didn't have kill markers painted on, like "big beautiful doll" so it is trying to keep with the actual plane, but adding kill markers wouldn't hurt. I also see your point about the cis markers,and will take that under advisement. Can't wait to see Smelly Steed!

Hey man, I love your gunship stickers, they are the reason I blew all my money on the republic gunship and didn't put on the front stickers. You don't have to, but if you could make a sticker depicting a Terentatec and a black color scheme, I would so use them and post my gunship mods with them on it. The stickers that came with it stock are so drab. well anyways, just an idea. |
