The Terran Firebat and Medic from the Starcraft series.
About this creation
After building my Terran Marine a while back, I had always wanted to eventually built a Firebat and a Medic to go along with it. (Ghosts are too boring to build, they would probably just be decaled minifigs with guns) Recently, I bought Starcraft and Brood War and I finally came around to building these two guys. (Or guy and gal?) Unfortunately, due to my very limited number of 1x1 tiles, I could not make these two coexist with my Terran Marine at the same time. But hey, at least I got them done! So enjoy!
UPDATED NOTE: I'm sorry, but I do not plan on making instructions for this MOC anytime soon. My apologies if this presents any major inconveniences to any of you.
The Medic and the Firebat, these two are essentially variations on my Terran Marine design. As you can see from the front, I used 2x1 plates horizontally to make them look fatter and heavier compared to the Marine, which they're supposed to be. Oh, and I also give great credit to mikesiapki at Brickshelf for coming up with the design for the Medic's injectors and the Firebat's nozzles. Where would we be without him?
From behind. I didn't really know what the Medic's back looked like. So I just guessed and tried to make her so that she looked as bulky as possible, as she looks like in-game. I could go into more boring in-depth detail on part constraints and design frustrations, but I'll leave you to see that for yourself.
Fire it up! mikesiapki used fatter tubes on his Firebat, but I had to use this pitifully thin rope-wire because the tubes wouldn't fit all the way around the guy. Ah well, at least the rope-wires look somewhat decent. And they're much easier to play around with.
Yep. In case you're wondering, the trans-blue tile on the shield is supposed to be where the Medic can look through her shield without poking her head around the thing and getting herself impaled by some Hydralisk spines. Of course, I have no way to visually comfirm this in-game.
Yes, they do have faces. And if you're wondering what that strange black 1x1 tile in the middle of the Medic's chest is, my only answer is that I am very limited on 1x1 tiles.
And yes, they can walk.

I like your firebat a lot more than your marine becaues the marine looks like he has VERY LITTLE ARMOR I think the marine would look better with more armor. |

Very cool. The nitty gritty construction amazes me, although I think the legs would look better with 1x1 round tiles instead of the square ones. These are so great I really want to make my own, but sadly I dont have the parts. |

Man these are awesome. I love how you used the helmets. The arms are very creative too. Would you mind putting up a pic of the structure of the torso please? |
