The CR-19 clone transport 'Whimsical Fate' is shot down over the Seperatist held planet of Argoth. Onboard, Jedi Master Urisian Voss, his Padawan, Pel Troya and ace-pilot Daro Naul are helpless to stop the spiralling descent. After crashing bow first into the planet's surface, the dazed occupants set off the distress beacon and scramble out of the ruined ship... only to find themselves surrounded by the full might of the Separatist armies. Clone-commander Flux orders his troops into defensive positions, but the sheer number of battle droids is almost overwhelming. Urisian watches in horror as his Padawan is gunned down; he ignities his lightsaber and prepares to destroy as many droids as he can while he still breaths. Daro Naul sneaks behind jutting outcrops of rock and wreckage in an attempt to outflank the droid force.
Kind comments everyone, thanks. I'd thought about building the 'Whimsical Fate' in it's entirety and even have an idea of what it should look like. I'm looking to recolour my Arquitens white to make it more accurate, so may look into this once I've freed up all that light bley.
you should rebuild the crashed ship and have it like, flying over a battle that you make. And it could provide air support, so make it shooting out of like, 20 cannons!!! That would be the best MOC ever. The planet it should be on is up to you, but i like felucia or utapau.
Although I actually don't like the prequels to the Originals (except for Darth Maul, who was too cool to die so early!), this did catch my eye. After looking at it, I know why it is a MOTD! Congrats! Great build! Nice engines on that ship, especially the damaged/destroyed one!
Wow. This is awesome! For you being fairly new to the 'pages you have a talent for the brick. All the little details make it really good. The ship is my favorite part. 5/5
BTW Could you give some constructive criticism on this? http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/184898
Thanks for the further comments everyone. @ Outer Rim Empire: No interior, but I've toyed with rebuilding the 'Fate in it's entirety... a project for the future that one. @ Mackenzie B: The custom hair is produced by Arealight. @ Ryan Tennent: 'Bignette' is a play on words, just means big-vignette. A few of you have asked for instructions, unfortunately it's unlikely I'll be making any soon; for a build this big it'd take me more time than I have to spare!
nice! i dont usualy like star wars mocs that much but, this is an exception! the only flaw is in the discription... i know im not that great at spelling myself but i dont think vignette is spelt like that :) 5/5!
Brilliant, you are one of the best Star Wars builders I know. please could you check this out: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/139029
It is my 50th MOC and would mean a lot to me if you commented on it.
WOW- this is something absolutely awesome- i love the landscape- minifigs and the crashed cruiser- excellent job- i have a good reason to add you to my favorite builders- make more creations- these are excellent!!
I absolutley love that republic cruiser!! I think I'm going to have to try my hand at something like that! Excellent moc. BTW is there an interior? You should seriously consider mking instructions for this! Again great job!
Thank-you very, very much for the great comments everyone, it means a lot to me to get such positive feedback.
This has been my biggest project to date so far. It took many hours of my time experimenting with build and - very importantly - composition, which is essential to setting an action scene. I spent a lot of time refining the details, often in my head as well as with LEGO!
The CR-19 itself is scratch built - I considered it to be a forerunner to the CR-20 so based the design on that ship. Unfortunately it's not likely that you'll see a complete version of the doomed 'Whimsical Fate' as I've since dismantled it for use in other projects... sorry!
I had a lot of fun building the minifigs such as the Crab and Sniper Droids and those still remain in my collection.
the jedi is awesome! the crab droid is awesome! the ship is awesome!! the backround is awesome! YOU are awesome!! i truley wish i could rate more than 5!!! this deserves to be, i don't know, sent to the lego experts themselves!! this is purely amazing!! now, make the wole ship togeather!!!! that would be your best moc!! please, see my stuff!
That really is amazing...The crashed ship is incredible (and not from a set, being another +). It is very professionally done, if you ask me, so give yourself a good old pat on the back, from me. C ya~ElNickre
Fantastic build, Pedro! The ship looks really good, [even though it's crashed, love the engines] the battle is great, and so is the scenery! One thing though: how is a 48x48 MOC considered a bignette? Generally the largest size is 22x22. It still doesn't deter from the puild, great job!
