Clone Wars Vignette Contest Entry: Polis Massa: Down the Conveyor Belt
My entry to Cody Hunter's Clone wars Vignette contest. One clone has gotten himself stuck in a most inopportune place...
About this creation
The official rules are here:
Rules
(I hope I linked that right)

My vig demonstrates a possibly made up (Though they did let the republic fight here in BattleFront 2) battle inside the currently CIS controlled mine within the asteroid polis massa. The CIS, when the clone wars were drawing to a close, was a little short on cash. Knowing this, they set up a Dew Stone mine in Polis Massa. Unfortunately, fools dew stones inhabit the area as well (also known as Mellow Stones*) and look almost identical to Dew Stones with one slight difference, Dew stones are impervious to fire, Mellow stones melt instantly. Knowing this, the CIS built a giant conveyor belt leading all the stones they found through a giant furnace. After receiving the knowledge of the mine from the native medics, the Republic sent Jedi master Fayne-Ha and a legion of clones to bust the operation up (and maybe get their hands on the dew stones, which would eventually supply the funds for The Death Star)

Well, I finally got it done. Talk about last minute, huh?
As you can probably tell, the title picture has been heavily modified using picasa 2. I used focal black and white to make the flames from the incinerator the only light source.

I didn't originally intend to include this hover-sled, but after I saw how it turned out I absolutely had to include it.

On the second level of the mine, Fayne-Ha fights a robotic mercenary hired by the Trade Federation to protect the establishment in the likely event that it come under attack.

Fayne-Ha, is not your traditional Jedi fighter, and never goes into battle without his trusted switch-Vibro-blade.

After losing his favorite rifle to Fayne-Ha, the mercenary grabbed a wicked piece of nearby mining equipment and is now swinging it through the air.

The main scene to the vig, it seems Russ the clone got his belt jammed in the conveyor belt, and is now in a bit of a pickle. Not only does he have the droid to worry about, he's also coming up pretty fast on the furnace! At least he has his twin blasters on his side, after taking out the droid, maybe he can shoot down the sled in time for it to block his way into the fire.

Speaking of which, heres the front of my semi-detailed hover-sled.

And what do ya know, here's the back.

In the background I came up with a pretty cool use for the blue lightsaber blade as commander Gothos shows the droids who's boss.

The entire Vig from above.

FIRE!!!

The droid doesn't realize that if it doesn't get off, it will be incinerated as well, but all it cares about is :"mission": :"Destroy" "All" "Clones":

Just a pic of some mining equipment and the cords.

Heh heh, I kinda like this pic. You can see Gothos in the background.

These are kinda random, but I like how they looked so I slapped them on. I guess they're like smoke stacks.

And the ugly, ugly, back. I'll probably repost this after a few modifications as I will likely use it in an upcoming McDo/Cyborgorc movie, BrikWars 2: Heroes and Villains. We are currently in the filming stage of it. Here's the original BrikWars: Once upon a stranded toybox for anyone that wants to see it.

(I hope this link works too!)

*Yes, the term Dew Stone first introduced in my Space Worms Vig is a direct link to Mountain Dew. Being that the stone pieces are almost the exact same color as my favorite soft drink, the name was invented. On that note, I am sad that Revolution lost the Dew contest, but Voltage is at least better than Supernova! Wow, that was random, any way Thanks for viewing, and please vote!
