Awesome hot-rod!

You'll definately need u-j's for technic. I'm quite lucky as I have thousands of secondhand old-skool technic bricks (as you can probably tell from my models). The best thing to do is probably ebay buy a load of old spare technic parts (not a model though cos they cost a fortune now). You should be able to get a load of decent bricks for next to nothing.

I had that challenge. I think mine turned out quite good looking in the end (let me know if agree/disagree!) but it took a long time of building, and rebuilding, and then rebuilding again to get a good balance between function and form. Hooking the engine up should be quite easy. Steering normally is pretty simple but its quite hard on a rod if you want the rack forward of the axel. When you get it right tho, it will all seem to come together and look and function great. This is your 1st attempt tho... my first few big cars were ter.rible!

Rat Rod Reply: Hi mate, that sounds awesome! I thought about pendular suspension too but I couldn't get it to look right. I'll take the top off the gearbox and send you a pic with some info. If you look in the pic showing the interior you can see its actually 5-wide but only lower down so the seats can be 4 studs apart. Its good to see you're moving to Technic already! I'll try and get it sorted tonight/tomorrow for you

Easily your best creation yet. The realism and paintjob are a class above anything you've done before. The back is great, almost beach-buggy-ish. The only thing I'd say that's left for you to do is to hook that engine up to the wheels. 5/5 and a massive well done : ) its on the club page too

OH MY!!!! what can i say here??!! really i don't know, actually i like several things.... i like the wheels, the headlights, the whole engine specially the pistons, the seats, i like the front grill, the gear nob(very creative), the whole rear view, the doors from the inside and outside... oh man i hope i didn't forgot any thing, by the way why i talked sooooo much, i must say this rod really ROCKS!!!! great job man, and thanks man for answering my question, that really helped and by the way we didn't have a lego store in jordan, i find it in the toys stores..peace man
