Brimstone
Brimstone heavy attack craft
About this creation
The Brimstone heavy attack craft was designed and produced by Necrotheon Spaceworks in response to the Ubiety Nine's Spiteful Dagger.
The design requirement for the Brimstone was singular: house the infamous Thanatos 152mm rotary cannon. The Thanatos rotary cannon has been used for years as close support defense on battle cruisers and has proven itself to be lethal to enemy combat ships.

The Brimstone had to be designed with a long enough fuselage to protect the pilot from muzzle flash, debris, and heat. To accomplish these protective measures, the pilot's cockpit is situated to the very rear in an elevated pod and the fuselage is curved around the rotary cannon.
Small torque thrusters are used to control roll caused by the high-speed spin of the rotary cannon when it is fired.

The heat generated by the Thanatos rotary cannon so immense that it bubbles and removes the paint on the ceramitanium fuselage. Most organizations no longer repaint the damaged area - giving the Brimstone its familiar paint appearance.

When a Brimstone appears in your sector, don't issue attack directives - initiate jump co-ordinates.

This is amazing! Brilliant use of the rounded corner pieces and the rotary canon is very intimidating. Great coloring as well!! Peace - Patrick

that is one beautifull thing you have there: a new shape, good colours, great silhouet and a great sense for detail. This should be MOCotd!

I like the curved body, and the use of those damn Star Wars guns as a weapon, but not having them suck.

I am impressed. The shape is novel and the detailing is very good. The side view is a winner.
