About this creation
This is the first LEGO Transformer I have made. And yes it actually transforms. I used the Prowl police car as the template for the articulations for transforming.
The prototype in robot mode.
The back of the robot. In the next versions I will try to eliminate the hood being used as a third leg. The feet were so small on this, that it was actually neccesary.
Start by folding the shoulder and arm up to form the back and turn hte head around.
Fold up the other shoulder the same way. the shield is alligned perfectly so it holds the two back sides together. It took me about an hour (or more) to get that part right.
Now that the back is done, we go to the front. The legs spread out and here they fold in and prepare to be folded into the nonexistant seats.
Turn the doors in and fold up the legs into the middle. It took me a long time to get this mechanism right also.
Whew, the legs are all folded!
The hood and window both come down. The hood took a VERY long time to make work and to look okay. It acts as a third support leg when in robot mode.
This is the last step, it is done. Oh wait, there is one last thing... What the heck is it!!?? IF you could leave a comment and tell me I would appreciate it.
Remember, this is only a prototype, and my first ever at that. It took me a few hours (Luckily not straight hours, I took some rests)
