Helicopter mech cross-over.
About this creation
The Dragonfly is a heli-mech (helicopter mecha) not only can it fly but it's also able to travel by ground to avoid ani-air missiles.
fun build, I stole er...barrowed the idea from an enemy out of Armored Core 2.
The Dragonfly carries two G5-P missile launchers (hold six missiles a-piece) along with a 53 cal. machinegun.
The weapons were really the hardest part, no really!
the resemblence to a Raptor is just in your head.
Skidoosh....
The 53 caliber machinegun
yup that ol'54 cal is quite the beast....What? I never said 54 I said 53 and you know it!
The G5-P missile launcher
These feet are designed for maximum stability on uneven and marshy ground.
Here is heli mode. Although the Dragonfly is strong in neither ground nor air combat its versitility makes it very popular.
Or is it the free pens we give out with bulk orders?
You may have noticed the grooves on the ends of the rotors, these make a high pitched screeching noise when opened that will break glass and cause general mayham.
pssshhhh.....
In action.....
Yeah thats for real.
The roomy cockpit that of course meets all safty standarads.
I'll say it again, pssshhhh....
The state-of-the-art targeting system.
The Dragonfly is about the same size as most other heicopters but with a little extra bang for your buck.
bet you didn't know that......
And our dashing pilot Dave....Dave you need a shave! "Awww shut-up...."
Enough jawin, whadya think?
Forgot to mention I tried to count the pieces I got between 350 and 400.
Makuta Bane: What's that? your not paying attention friend, each two box segment holds 6 missiles a piece add it up ;).

you should try to make a joint in the propellers that would allow them to fold down to the sides, it would make the mech look much better then it already does, not trying to say it looks bad or anything but that would make it look better |

I had trouble deciding which one of Your large mechs was better- Dragonfly or Bulldog, but in the end Dragonfly won. I love the Heli/Walker combo (I'm currently working on something similar- Jet/Walker combo). Legs fit nicely in the back and don't disrupt the overall design, which is a big plus. |

Very nice work! The blue and yellow mix nicely and the idea has some merit as well. But the legs don't look strong, or long enough to make it move. But very nice overall. |

So, I was browsing the internet looking for a tutorial on how to make lego trench coats, I found your page. I was instantly impressed by your amazing models and funny themes. It was nice to see another CFOL (and TFOL) making such amazing models. Well, first I want to complement you on this amazing model. Great idea making a mech helicopter, I like smart ideas like that. And secondly I want to let you know that you are my newest favorite builder, congrats! I hope to be seeing more of your models soon! |

That's amazing! Do you have any tips for me because I want to try my hand at building a helicopter.
Well, all I can say is to look at helicopters made by other builders for inspiration(usually hepls me a lot) and also if what you build isn't to your liking don't be afraid to tear it apart and start over. Hope some of this helps! |

So the Propellers make a noise like the Transformers do to break glass? If so wouldn't the cockpit break as well?
Now when did I say the cockpit was glass? ;) |

Terrifying and terrific all in one package! I'm a little peeved though. Why you ask? Well, I ordered a bulk order of 200 units just for the free pens and when they finally shipped (three weeks after the mechs themselves!), there were no ink cartridges!?! So I called customer service and the Indian guy was like, "De ink cartridges cost 1500 dolla extra. Cash or credit?" Need I say more? No? Okay, good. Seriously though, great work. And thanks for the great review. I have made a racing variant of the Rapier but haven't posted. I can email you a picture if you want. Again, great work! Peace - Patrick |

Ummm, wait, let me do the math... So that is about 24 rockets, right? Okay, that's not that bad. But from looking at it, I would only say there are 4. Are the others BEHIND the first, or something? Oh, well, I still love the concept. Great work, my friend. |

Wow, it looks great! I love the legs (if you the the legs wrong on a mech, the whole thing is trash in my opinion). It also looks GREAT in heli mode, especially the back end. I might have to copy that cockpit idea (I have been working on something like that), and the chain gun looks great! My only complaint is that, come on, one gun and four missiles?!?! That thing needs a few gatlings, and some of those 5 pack rockets that are very popular on MOCPages! Get real! ;) |

me likey!! i love the concept, and you've executed it perfectly. the machine gun belt looks terrific (although the rest of the model does too). the only thing that bothers me is the dual tail rotor arrangement, which in real life wouldn't work very well. but that's minor, really. the rest's very good, so 5/5. |
