A ballistic warhead launched from a UFO from space and hits the shut-down Chernobyl reactor...
About this creation
These ApocaLEGO minifigures arn't just your average post-apocalypse survivors... They have a story behind them, here it is put short:
A ballistic warhead launched from a UFO from space and hits the shut-down Chernobyl reactor. This releases mass amounts of radiation (but no one knows it). A NATO coalition team of three of some of the best soldiers around the world are picked and start their journey into the forgotten lands of the Ukraine where they will inspect the area around and look for any crucial evidence. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of people around the world die from overexposure to dangerous isotopes... the trio carries on until their Geiger counters beep rapidly. They figure it is too dangerous to head back but rather quickly find somewhere sheltered to live in. The trio luckily finds an old, secret, and forgotten Soviet naval base. They go into the fallout shelter and survive with all the many skills they know from years of training, and their handy radiation-blocking armour...
First off is my sig-fig, Derek T., the main character in the story. He (I) wear(s) composite near fully radiation-proof armour and a built-in Geiger counter. He also wears a gas mask/rebreather unit and a holster for his semi-auto handgun.
This is Kojeck, a typical Russian soldiers with some better-than-average sharpshootin' skills. Kojeck wears a thick, full face balaclava with a built in oxygen tube and oxygen tanks in his backpack and also a Geiger counter. He also has some near radiation-proof armour. Kojeck ran out of ammo for his sniper rifle so instead used a shotgun he found in an abandoned farmhouse.
Mel is a Swedish scientist/survivalist who was chosen for this mission to study the radiation and any evidence of anything found. Mel wears the same type of balaclava as Kojeck but is not pictured with the oxygen tank/ backpack hybrid in these pictures.
I hope you liked my ApocaLEGO Minifigs. Check back soon for more Apocalyptic action!
I prefer to use rubber bands becasue... A: I dont have any bandanas. B: When you look at the minifig at different angles it makes it look more like a blaclava.
Pretty interesting, it certainly has potential. I think everyone's at least heard of Chernobyl. I like your use of white in the background, it gives the image a genuine Ukranian feel.
