Call to the night
About this creation
"The blind cosmos grinds on aimlessly from nothing to something and from something back to nothing again, neither heeding nor knowing the wishes or existence of the minds that flicker for a second now and then in the darkness."
~H.P. Lovecraft
Nocturne
In darkest night, in deepest fright,
I flee from demons; my fears take flight.
Across the black hills, beneath the red sky,
They swarm without mercy to see me die.
I scramble through darkness, my mind ablaze;
The void calls out, I see nothing but haze.
I stumble through ashes; my feet tramp on bones.
I stamp upon flesh; the man beneath me groans.
The horrors sweep across the land
With infinite terror at their command.
Silent and deadly they stride with grace;
They come without warning and leave without trace.
Here I am in my last moments of life;
With death approaching, I can feel the knife.
They come close enough; I see into their eyes-
Oh I wish I hadn’t, for I saw my own demise!
I drop to my knees and take one last breath;
Beneath the blood heavens I beg for my death.
Closing my eyes, I embrace the end;
From this world of madness I pray to transcend.
But just as I dread, I lived on instead,
For when I glimpsed those eyes so red,
I knew that night I will not be dead.
The end I saw in that lifeless stare
Invoked more scare than death and despair.
It foretold the torture of losing one’s mind-
To be cast into darkness and forever blind.

Hey Nannan, do you ever get into Izzo-style mechas? I'd like to see what you can do. If you're interested in mecha, I'd like you to join the FORGE group. Just leave a reply on my page or Nowhereman's if you're interested in joining/ If so, we'll send you an invite, but we'll need to see you make a mech. It will also have to qualify as an above average mecha, but I'm sure you can pull it off. Brick you!!! ~Ping Phong |

Black fantasy creatures have only black and trans-orange, unless you're doing an infection MOC. |
|
|
Nannan, can Black Fantasy use colors other than black in the body? I'm working on my first and some of the pieces I'm planning to use have some non-black. The non-black would add to the MOC. |

Your poetry skills could use some practice :P. Great creation as usual, your higher consciousness has lead you to see some pretty dark things. It's not always a curse you know, it can be a blessing sometimes... but always it is a burden. We cannot seek comfort in the warm blanket of ignorance that shields those whose minds do not wander where ours do. Never will we be content with what the ignorant desire, and always will there be that gap of understanding they cannot cross, but that we sometimes wish we hadn't crossed. But try and look on the bright side... maybe you'll have some white fantasies! |

To the person below, I don't think it's meant to match the image. The poem was.... erily brilliant. The robot arms and black skeletons give it a brilliant base, and the red background is well matched to this moc - Callum |

Man, you sacre me sometimes. That's awesome, all of your stuff is, but the poems are just nuts, are they yours? Do you publish them? Seriously dud, I think even Stephen King would pee his pants if he were trapped in your noggin. Anyway, great work... again. Peace - Patrick |

Yeah, well anyone who's met you wouldn't be surprised. I mean you're such a dark, reclusive, macabre kind of guy. (Yes, that's sarcasm for those who don't recognize it!) Very cool with the red background there, Nan! I like the verses as well, and now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go hide under the covers! |
