The Time Traveler
He has come...for WHAT? Twinkies?!?
About this creation

A blinding flash illuminated the street, leaving a clear liquid door standing still. I stared as a walking machine stepped through, from an unknown time and place. Light droplets of crystal water scurried down his metal frame, without harming - to my surprise - his electrical parts. Or was it electrical?

He scanned the newly broken wall to his left, then slowly turned and faced me. What is this being? A small light blinked inside his eyes...as if he were alive. An urge to break and run erupted inside me, but I wanted to stay. I wanted to see what this strange creature was.

What IS he? I was soon to find out.

Actually, the real question is, why did I make this? To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I came home from work about a week ago, sat down in front of my Legos, and made a little road and a wall. Yeah, I was tired...

Kelso paints pretty pictures, Phipson pulls over members of the Mafia gang, Ocean blows into molten glass, and I am sanding a huge log house with hand-held grinder with pads that fly off into my sweating face that's covered in a mask trapped by huge ear protection.

It's just a summer job, it's just a summer job...

Oh yeah, and sorry about the poor quality of the picture above, it looked weird if I touched it up and made it brighter with Photoshop, so...

Hey, who said twinkies? And remember, there's no such thing as the mafia. At least that's what Don Calzone keeps telling me... ~ Chris.

Some summer jobs aren't so much fun, huh. I worked one summer in a furniture factory when I was 17. It was totin' and liftin' all day long. I don't know what was worse, working in the chrome plating department with it's smell of warm hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, or that the company laid off all the summer temps three weeks before the summer was over. Oh well, hang in there. Often out of pain comes creation. Oh, where did that traveller go? Just curious. garth

Interesting, it could be a good start for a big sci-fi story... The build itself is clean and nice. Well done !
