About this creation
Rather than add a list of builders to my front page, I've decided to put together a list as an MOC. For those complainers who'll inevidibly say "this isn't an MOC" Well, the front photo is my own. It is the stairs to Eggplant Island, with the crownies attacking to steal the beer.
It was very difficult for me to pick out "The Castle Masters" TM. I'm also including landscapers in the category, and will limit the list to 10.
Enough Rambling. Are you ready, here we go.
First up is John Langrish hailing from British Columbia. The photo is KnottinglyBLEY castle. Bley as in bluish grey. He can be found on Brickshelf Link
Next we have Saskia van Doesburg who is a Dutch FFOL. Saskia is great at building trees and castle town stuff. A nice collection is available on brickshelf Link. The build above is called BrickerLoo
Mr Kelso from Indiana. I'm still waiting for him to build a proper castle to put ontop of this scenery. One of these days, I'll figure out how this one was done. He's an MOC superstar who is way to undercritical in his reviews hoping that people give him lots of SWAG Link
DarkSpawn the Australian This build is the best Apothecary I've ever seen. No its not the only one, there are actually several really good ones. You can check out all of his fantastic work at his MOCpage. Link He's one of those guys who can build in any category.
Next up is Brans Castle by Bob Carney . Bob has built 126 castles between 1986-2008. There are some great ones in there. They can be found at his personal webpage Link
Martin Jaspers of the Netherlands Martin has the best castle mini-fig customs as well as some great creations. They can be found at BrickShelf Link
RebelRock is a builder of mythical proportions residing in Portland. You'll find a great sense of mature humor and some great castle builds. Another BrickShelf Link
Stone Goblin, AKA Robert Arnst is one of the innovators of several techniques. His Dwarfs Mine makes the official Lego one look laughable. You can find him over on BrickShelf Link
DNL – Daniel Z from Norway Foyks Castle is great as are many of the other ones. You can find DNL on Flickr Link
Last, but definitely not least is Lolas - Miller’s Nightmare from Poland Very few creations, but definitely worth a visit. Link
These aren't in any order. I plan on keeping this page dynamic, so people may drop and add from time to time. Typically most of the builders I'm mentioned here are still active at least since 2007. What I've found is that you can almost tell when something was built based on the style evolution. It is amazing what progress has been made since 2005 in castle building.

My favorite on your list is Darkspawn. No one told me about him till recently and since I've spent many an hour when I should be working, just drooling, slack jawed at his stuff. Don't get me wrong, that third guy on your list (what was his name again?) is good but like you said, he needs a castle on top of some of that scenery (for this list anyway). Then there's you... but you can't be on your own list really can you? I mean you could but... never mind. ~ Chris. |

Woaw , a lot of great MOCs by awesome builder, a pleasure for the eyes ! I'm more impressed by castle than by ships, now, maybe because I begin to be not bad with space MOCs, but almost never made a decent castle lol |
