Seven-Deck Intrepid-class starship
About this creation
This ship is the biggest (and heaviest) one I have ever built. It is a seven-deck ship, based on the style of the (Star Trek) Intrepid-class starship. It's twin nacelles are adjustable. It has a bridge section that can function as its own ship. Its shuttle bay can hold ships 20 studs across. It also has two larger land crafts in its ship complement. It has 18 escape pods that are accessible. I still have it intact, sitting on top of one of my bookshelves. It weighs over 200 pounds. I almost couldn't get it off the floor when it was finished! Its also slightly over 7 feet long, over 2 1/2 ft wide and just under 2 feet tall.
Here is the page link where you can click into all the deck detail photos from:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=82917
I also want to note that while some people may not prefer the color choices for the ship, as a guy who grew up with Classic Space colors, it's just what I got used to and like. I was always able to get so much variety in blue bricks instead of light grey.

Wow Nice, really nice! HUGE! I like this spaceship alot! How big is it? I started a new group called 'Only BIG spaceships' and you just might qualify! If the spaceship is over 3 feet ( at least 114 studs) in any dimension, or bigger I just might add you. Can anyone recommend builders that have huge spaceships too? E-mail me at zlowing@hotmail.com, or if your on Myspace, myspace.com/zvr Have fun now, Zac |

The MOC of the day is randomly picked from an algorithm. No one has the control to "pick" it. This ship has the same chance of being the MOC of the day tomorrow as it does today. |

I have to admit I am surprised it did not self-destruct when you moved it. I would have thought that something this large would require a metal sub-frame. At any rate, it is an amazing piece of work. Lee. |
