The Aussie-Saucer
Sig Ocean Figgy's personal Hover-craft
About this creation
Well, work's kept me pretty busy as of late, but with the help of our good friend Sig Ocean Figgy, I managed to piece together a little somethin' last weekend.
Now I plan to give everyone the full lowdown on all our shenanigans, Figgy and I, but in the mean time he was complaining about his small size (yeah, potential joke...but I ain't going there!) causing some problems for him negotiating the rooms of my house and it's multiple levels (not to mention the intimidating looks he's been getting from my Collie and Alaskan Malamute). So in an effort to make things a little easier for our Australian brethren of brick, I came up with this little number...
Introducing the AO101 Aussie-Saucer! With Electroencephaloneuromentimpographic Bilateralantidistabilizational Photoradioquantumnal cells, or as we like to call 'em...little hover-thingy's. Great for toolin' around the house or yard, or for those quick get aways from plastic-munchin Malamutes!
As you may have noticed from my Assault Walker Texas Ranger MOC, I'm a fan of bumper stickers. And I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hook up Figgy with a little souvenir from his trip to Brickworld '08. As for the other sticker (which reads: "Min Min Lights")...anyone from here in the states who gets that little joke without looking it up on line wins a baloney sandwich!
And what would a sweet little ride like this be without some interior luxuries. Cockpit includes reclining seat, ergonomic control stick, dashboard outlet (what we once called cigarette lighters), Ipod, and the ever-essential temperature controled cup holder for that cool, refreshing bottle of Figgy's favorite amber fluid...oops...I mean...sparkling water. (don't drink and drive, kids!)
Well there ya have it, Kangaroo fans...Figgy's personal mode of transportation while visiting here in Indy. We'll be sure to post some shots of the fun in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, hope ya enjoyed seeing his ride, and as they say in Australia: "May your chooks turn into Emu's and kick your s#*!house door down!" (no idea what that means, but it sounds cool!)

CRIKEY! Awesome MOC, mate! Sorry... I can't help it. No offen.se to any Australians! Great job, but the only little part I think isn't amazing is the fact I think there's a bit too much yellow near the cockpit... That was a long and proabably incomprehensible sentence. Point is, it's awesome, but not perfection, I'm dissapointed in you, Mr. Kelso! Haha. Great job. 5 stars anyway. |

Now I am off to find out about Min Min Lights...I thought I heard music, but I dismissed it as my dishwasher, untill I turned up my computer's speakers...WELL DONE, MATE! One last note, I totally dig that Ausie flag! |

Well, no baloney for me, I had to look it up. But, with my new knowledge of min min lights and Men at Work playing in the background, I'm confident I could pass for a Aussie. Now, I only have to lose 200 lbs and shrink 6 feet and my transformation to Sig Ocean would be complete. Then I would get to drive in this amazing little ship. Good form mate! |
