A prototype armed scout/personnel support craft.
About this creation
PLEASE, NO RANDOM BAD RATINGS!
No, it's not just a smaller remake of my Swallow Hawk. This is a whole different bird.
The Phoenix is an advanced prototype sporting many cutting-edge advances in everything from avionics to engines. Its purpose is that of armed scout/support ship, and to that extent it is small, nimble and (duh) has VTOL engines. It is armed with four anti-personnel Vulcan cannons, and two racks of Frag Rockets (or Napalm Tracers.)
Guns (next to cockpit) and Missiles (red things towards the back)
Now, the advancements.
First off, the Phoenix is equipped with prototype Black-Hole/White-Hole Turbines. These engines use a Black-Hole on the top to suck air in, connected to a White-Hole on the bottom which spews the spaghettiated matter out the bottom to produce lift. A force field limits the amount of air entering the Black-Hole, and therefore the amount spewed out the White-Hole. This controls lift.
This engine has the advantage of (A) being invulnerable to damage, as anything sucked into the engine is disintegrated by the Black-Hole, (B) Self-powered (Black-Holes use their own gravity to suck stuff in)
The engine edge-on.
This is the advanced Heads-Up targeting camera with laser cursor. Used for locking rockets on target.
The first ever test drive of he Phoenix, again at Thousand Eye's secret test site.
Another shot of the test drive. Note the engines in action.
Butt Shot. I decided to leave the tail as-is because it didn't need a fan or anything, and it looked more bird-like this way.

Very cool. I like the idea behind its propulsion and the build itself looks great. Well done. |

Very original and new. I like it a lot. Will you do me a favor and see my zombie storm creation. It has such a bad rating and I don't know why. |

Wow... amazing. The engine concept is clever (but how do you turn it off?) and you clearly put a lot of time and effort into the model. The diorama scene is cool too. I sooo want one of these things. |

Dang, you stole my idea! Zips-wisem the Engine idea is awesome, and the cockpit is good, but the tail definitely needs some fins.
