About this creation
MOCtag #7 Why did the chicken-man cross the road?
1. And so Clucky trained day and night, honing his considerable skills in the deadly arts, gaining ever closer he was sure, to his goal of killing his father Rory-not with a cold, impersonal sniper bullet no-he wanted to look into his deadbeat dad's eyes as he plunged a sword into his succulent chicken breast.
2. Finally he tracked Rory and Beaker to where they were holidaying: a cheap hotel in Shannonia called Los Baratos.
3. Whilst Beaker and Rory were foolishly and vunerably preoccupied with a game of "Hotel Marco Polo", Clucky would slip in for the kill...all he had to do now was cross one of those bizarre grille-like roads they have in Shannonia.
4. Meanwhile, back in the future:
"and one last thing time machine engineer Max Noob, before you sent the Chickenator back in time to protect Rory, did you remember to flick his mode switch from 'KILL Rory' to 'PROTECT Rory'?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh the drama! Did Max Noob forget to flick the switch? Did Clucky really die? Why are there chicken-men in the future? Why did my hair start falling out when I was 23? And how the heck did Youngy come up with the name "Rory"? Too much Gilmore Girls? To find out the answers to most of these questions, tune in next time when JD Luse provides episode 8! Tag JD; you're it-no backsies!
This episode was brought to you by Coca Cola "the taste of rotting teeth" and was a Labour Of Love production. I tried to focus on moving the story along solely with the 4 sentences and the pictures while keeping the cartoon speech bubbles reserved for lame jokes and to a minimum (extrememly hard).
No chickens were harmed in the making of this episode, although I had a McChicken burger, which had meat probably from a battery hen farm, so those thousands of chooks were probably pretty miserable there in those tiny cages...oh well.
Deleted scenes: Oh, there were about 700 shots trying to get the LIU car to blur just right as it ran over Clucky...you probably don't wanna see those.
Director's commentry: C'mon, who ever watches those things anyway?! I'm going back to bed!
I can't believe I didn't comment on this before... Anyway, the weirdness level you dealt with was way higher then what I had story wise. I can't believe you were able to keep this coherent! You showed off some seriously awesome MOCing, the training, the grilling, the running overing- all fantastic! |
Ha, this is really good! I like how you stayed away from dirty jokes, and greatly added to the story while leaving off with plenty of chances for the next person in line to choose what happens. Also, incorporating Shannonia into it was a really nice touch (and by the way, I had no idea that a couple of our fellow MOCers were wanted men ;)) |
Sorry, Mate! I would have reviewed this last night, but I was puking my guts out last night...Anyway, GOOD ON YOU MATE! This is very well done, and I really love the wanted posters. Chris Phipson: Wanted for Twinkie napping. Mark Kelso: Wanted for...for...I will get back to you on that one...That giant grill really haunts me, The LIU car, freaks me out, and the Terminator jokes, well let's say, ALL OUT FUNNY!...WELL DONE! |
Oh man, I laughed so hard when I saw the giant-sized version of Shannonia. Of course the streets have giant trenches along them! And then again at the last picture. You certainly got a lot of expression out of a figure that doesn't technically have a face! Very nice work. |
Which do you want first, the bad or the good? Okay, the bad: Rory, sponging off his rich wife, would never stay at Los Baratos (Spanish for The Cheapskates). There are a myriad of plush hotels in Shannonia for them to choose from, so what's up with that? And the grills are actually parking lots, not roads. Get your facts straight Shannon Ocean, if in fact that is your real name, which it isn't -- Shannon Sproule! |
Another Great Addition to MOC-Tag. I was super sceptical of this project with the first one -even though it was a nice MOC. And this story is becoming the best thing to hit Lego in a long time (except for the Wall-E models). JD Don't let me down!!! You're standing on the shoulder of giants now. Onto the review. I think that this is your best piece of work since Ocean Vs Phipson. The Big Grill is great, the story is original, funny, interesting. The detailed photowork and MOC references are excellent. I felt that the only thing missing is not having correctly sized photos (deeplinking to brickshelf) that would help the presentation be more fluid like what Mr Kelso did. Anyways, Congratulations on a job well done. |
NOOOO! You killed Clucky! I love how he trained for years and was taken down (on a giant grill tile) by a passing motorist. The Wanted posters, BRILLIANT! The newspaper clippings were a great addition. I really like the ending. Is the Chickenator there for good, or evil (muhahahaha)? Talk about taking this whole thing to the next level! The Awesome Aussie does it again! So, there's an entire race that evolved from the unholy union of Woman and Chicken? Nice. ~ Chris. |
