Summer residence with a gazebo and a lake with lillies.
About this creation
Our initial idea was to build a palace. However, we found out that we were missing the bricks we need in order to have an intricate roof design that is needed for any building to be called a palace. So instead, we decided to keep the good ideas and turn this one into a nice summer residence with a beautiful gazebo and a lake with lillies.
As you can see, I've made a habit of using the ladders in quite an urthodox manner... But I do think they make nice fences. Yeah, yeah, that's the other way of saying that I don't have enough regular high fence pieces.
The one thing about this set that I love the most - the gazebo. Asya made that while I was busy working on some cars and I must say, she did a perfect job. Such as a simple construction, yet it really is marvellous.
The lake. I wanted to have one with a bridge going over it, but it was ditched along with the idea of building a whole palace. Instead, we made this little lake here, which is home to a pair of lovely lillies. A woman's touch is pretty apparent in this one, innit? Another luverly detail, if you ask me :)
Let the sunshine in... Now that I think of it, we could have made a sunwatch of some sort. Note to self to use that next time we decide to build summer residence (or even a palace)
Frontal view of the residence. You guessed it right, that's us up there on the balcony.
The gazebo once again. Just can't get enough of it! This idea will definitely be reused in some other set we build in the near future!
Amazingly beautiful as well, and I mean both the house and the pretty garden. I also think that the black roof and the white walls go together extremely well. Iīd love to have a house like that. Canīt wait to see your city layout in the future! Steffen
Thanks! I think the house needs more detailed features, which can be achieved using more special bricks. Unfortunately our choice is currently pretty much limited to the ones which were available back in the 90s. However, when we get to rebuilding this one, we'll definitely keep the garden and tamper with the house to make it look a bit more fancy.
