Hey everyone. Welcome to my 4th SW creation posted here. This, for those that don't know, is the Imperial Sentinel-class landing craft. I put roughly 4 months of work into building the ship and I dare say it paid off. Before I list the features know that this entire project was done by myself, including photoshop effects and the Tatooine desert background. So I am VERY proud. Ok, now on to the fun stuff!
*Size has to be over 2 feet long, 1 foot wide by my estimates
* Retractable Laser Cannons (as seen in pics) four per side**
*Ion Cannon at top that is retractable (right behind cockpit at top)
*Repeating Blasters retractable (right under belly of Cockpit)
*Inner turret on right platform side (can rotate and give cover fire to the side)
*Rear Underbelly Turret (dual with lateral and vertical mobility)
*Opening hatches including the cockpit, both upper side hulls with imp insigna on them
*Retractable Landing Gear both front and Back
*Gear operated Wings (that unfortauntly doesn't really work except going down)
*Under belly ramps for quick troop deployment
*Working LEDs in both the main compartments and cockpit
*Gun racks
*2 Stretchers and 2 Bacta tanks
*2 Two Laser holding cells with enough room for 6 total prisoners
*Working Crane for unloading supplies
*Finally the size of the compartments can hold a total of: 1 speeder Bike, 6 prisoners, 1 pilot, 2 deck officers, 2 gunners, 2 Navy Troopers, 4 Scout Troopers, and 28 Storm Troopers of Various Types. That makes a grand total of 45 total personnel + equipment (You could probably squeeze in another 5 + guys so my original estimate of 50+ troop carrying capacity was not off by much!) OR 1 Dewback - approx 20 personnel.
So this ship is BIG! Errrr understatement :) Weighs close to 10 lbs I estimate. Enjoy. OK more pictures to come later when the site isn't SO busy! Uploading some more pictures now. Thanks for all the positive feedback so far, but let's keep the comments focussed on the craft and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Remember this is LEGO so its all about imagination and fun :). Thanks again.

Very impressive, I love all the features. This also looks very true to the source, and the cockpit area's crafty. Great work, hopefully you find some time for LEGO and post more masterpieces like this sometime. |

That ship looks awesome. Do you have assembly instructions for this ship?
Sorry Christopher, I do not have any assembly instructions for this ship and its long been dismantled :(. I can give tips though if you attempt to build your own. |

Wow! Excellent ship. Big and allows more troops carried. I made one similar to the original 7659 set, enlarged three times; yours is better!
Nice! |

@improver man
I think this ship isn't too big! It's exactly minifig scale! BUT the AT AT set isn't! A minifig scale AT AT would be bigger. The AT AT fits 40 troops in two levels and not only four like the set. It also hold more than one speeder so you can't say that it's too big only because it's bigger than the non-minifig-scale set!
I can't say it often enough: You did a great job, Kyle! |

Great! I was just thinking about doing one of these myself except mine would have to be gray. I added some inside pics of my falcon like ship and a few new ships including a Jedi Infiltrator. You should check them out. |

THanks guys for all the feedback... really makes my work worth it. Just one thing everyone has been commenting on that I REALLY need to address. That is the size and scale. For a typical lego minifig model... yes this ship is rather obese. Using the Star Wars scale guide, this ship is actually somewhat small. Its supposed to be able to carry AT-STs! I built this as a model BTW, not really a play set. SO trust me on this, I have the model guides and have read lots on this craft :). Thanks again. |

Best I've seen! And we have all seen a lot of terrible and 'so so' Sentinels on the web. My only thought is that the wings look a tad short. You ought to try building the Nebulon Ranger at some point. THAT would be a nice challenge. |

They didn't keep the dewbacks in there, they are tatooine specific. A star destroyer couldn't afford to keep 5 live dewbacks healthy as they roamed across the galaxy. Also, this thing is big beyond minifig scale & i'm pretty sure the cockpit window isn't the right shape. a good moc though |
