Nothin' special here...sorry, gang...but I did want to take a moment to offer a big word of thanks to all of those who were kind enough to recommend me for Lego Ambassador-ship-ly-ness! (I'd have done this sooner, but thanks to Lee Jones, got MOCtagged recently...aaaaand spent every waking moment on that stupid thing!)
I didn't add up the numbers myself, but through correspondence with other potential Ambassadors, gather that I was in the running. Despite a true interest in becoming an Ambassador and representative for those of us here on MOCpages, I stepped aside, sincerely feeling that there were others who were more deserving of the opportunity because of their time and experience on this site. And I was extraordinarily happy to hear that those members were, in fact, selected. There were others, as well, who I felt would be great reps for us, but they chose not to get involved.
Anyway CONGRATULATIONS to Aaron Andrews, Nannan Z., and Keith Goldman!!! And once again, to all of you who nominated me...from the very bottom of my Lego pile, THANKS!
I took a walk through your artist website, and was really happy to see how your creativity and talent shine through in your other preferred medium. I'm trying to establish myself in the art world and both your Art and LEGO sites have added extra wind into my sails.
Yeah, I now wish that I voted for you instead of Sir Nodraj. (No offense Nadjy) You have made some insanely good stuff and leave lots of nice comments, which leads me to the reason I wrote this review. Thank you for your review on my collection, I'm glad you liked my SD, but I have actually already posted a few versions of it. I don't mean to advertise my own stuff, but I just thought you might want to know. BUT, I am going to post the final version sometime this summer before I enter it in the county fair. Just thought you might want to know. ~JD
For this year, you deserved it. Barring Goldman's Hebui Maturi [which is at the same level as your Apocalypsis and Invisible Hand], you have posted by far the two best MOCs of the year, and both are in the top 5 ever posted in MOCpages history...3 others being the Superhawk, Hebui, and Zombie Survival Guide.
I just saw that the minifig in the photo is sporting a Brickscope torso, you too have encountered the madness of Zoe!
You'll no doubt be a good Ambassador. You'll have my support whenever you choose to apply.
So they were the ones?my computer was down and I had no idea.thank you for saying so,and too bad about you not being lego ambassador....we might have seen some mandatory MOCs from you...you're awesome, and y'know what?you are actually like sean kenney, but instead of New York, except you do the rain forest!
Dude i say the count was rigged! you should have won hands down. Why do you think lego is rehashing all their old lines THEY HAVE NO VISION! where you clearly do. Also dont make me ruin another computer by thinking about that amazing invisble ha.. (Arg there goes another one thank god my friends computer was up for use.
Again i say you were Robbed.
Better luck next time - giver.
P.S do more death warmed over vigs as i really do get the hummor and it does give me a good laugh.
Hey, you deserved it. You've pumped out some of the best moc's on this site recently, including the amazing Invisible Hand. You also leave a ton of reviews with tips, critique, and your humor. There is always next time.
