Méaróg Castle
A short distance off the main coast sits Méaróg Castle. Built by King Murgin VI during his most prosperous years as a summer castle and a place of safety should war ware come. The castle was built on a small island of rocks a few miles from his capital city, Pébblubérg. The castle is accessed via a bridge that in emergencies can be pulled down to stop the enemy following the Kings escape. These photos were taken at the start of the kings summer holidays during the year 1432AD.
About this creation

The kings wizard is in the small castle garden picking mistletoe for his special potions while his assistance takes a peaceful nap watching the day’s traffic on the bridge.

Lord Falcon meets one of his peasants on the bridge. The peasant has just reported to the king that he will be able to supply gain for the next winter. Lets hope the grain does better this year.

Security remains tight even for the Kings special guard who have travelled from Pébblubérg to give the weekly report on the cities news.

A local takes his wife (the queens maid) back to Pébblubérg by the sea route. His wife is returning the Kings main castle to collect more dresses for the Queen Caterin.

The Kings Royal Guard enjoy a good meal in the banquet hall while the king takes a rest in his Royal chamber.

A comply of guards take a well-deserved rest from duty. Meanwhile up stairs the storeroom duty officer checks the armoury.

King Murgin VI and Queen Caterin spend some quality time in the Royal chamber after the king has seen to some of the day’s business. Not much time though the Kings special guard has just arrived to give the weekly report on Pébblubérg.

The secret boat store for escape to the sea, accessed via a secret trap above.

Very neat to look at, and fun to imagine building. The length of the brigde is good, and also the interior!

This was very enjoyable. A great sense of scale you've used in the long bridge and which is carried over to the tall tower. This is the sort of castle stuff I'd love to do. One day...
