I was looking in the cross sectional book for episode two and was inspired to try and make the lego as close to accurate as i could without any huge changes to the design. Ive replaced that strange antenna thingy with rockets and added a few other parts.

About this creation

this is the wing mounted ball turret. on the top of the wing is half of the droid tri fighter set and the original peice was moved to the bottom.

here is were the rocket bay is.

this was added to the back for decoration mostly

it also can bend down as a ramp. its too short for a speeder but it looks good. the peice is from a really old space lego set (1992ish)

(instructions for the rocket bay.)if you like my design for it and you have a republic gunship ive provided instructions on how to mod it. !(Warning)! i cut two lego peices it this. if you got a problem then dont do it. first you have to remove peices from the top till it looks like this. you will remove the antenna part and some decorative peices mostly

these are the peices required for the rocket assembly. the bar peice on the right is a lego pick axe that has been cut at the top of the handle.

they assemble like so

put them in side by side

then you place the top panels back on

and decorate it how ever you like.

Hey this rocks!! I do not have a gunship but in Agust( yeah next month!!! ) There will be a new gunship , AT- TE , and some other clone wars stuff including an utapau fighter with a magna guard!!! any way i think i will do this to the new one. I plan to get too anyway.
