The X3000 Tiger Gunship was devoloped for heavy conflict locations. It is heavily armored and shielded and, because of this, very expensive. Only 6 of them were produced and the only 3 of those six were ever used in combat before the end of the clone wars. The 3 that were used were extremely successful. The Tiger was designed as a support craft to the republic gunship but where it was truely successful was in search and destroy and tactical strikes. On one search and destroy mission a Tiger was deployed to destroy a small droid base. When the Tiger found its target the crew discovered that three battalions of droids were present at the base. It is said that the Tiger destroyed the entire base and every droid stationed there.

Along with search and destroy and support the Tiger can also be used as a drop ship. The center,skinnier part of the ship have flaps that open upwards to let the troops out. The ladders on the sides are so the troops can get out and are removeable when not transporting troops. There is room for 4 troops comfortablely but 6 can be transported if they dont knid being crowded. Because the tiger only carries a small number of troops they often were used to transport spec ops troops behind enemy lines or to transport VIPs.

The Tigers emmense success is due to its heavy arsenal. The ship has 6 blaster cannons (4 forward facing and 2 rear), 4 photon torpeado launchers mounted on the hull, 2 wing mounted rocket launchers (similar to those of the republic gunship), 2 dual and one quad repeating blasters, and 2 pulse blasters mounted on the rear.

All the weapons in the word dont help you if u have no crew to man them. The tiger has a crew of 9 each who play an important role. The pilot (who controls the 4 forward mounted cannons), Rocketier(controls rocket launchers and photon torpedoes), and navigator sit in the cockpit and the other six all of whom are gunners sit in the weapons control center(back of ship).
