Sorry for the confusion. The creation was originally named the "New York," which was a ship that almost collided with the Titanic. It is talked about very slightly, thus the fact that it didn't appear in the book is not a surprise.

This is cool, yet i've never heard of it and i have got the DK Eyewitness Titanic book. Oh, and one last thing, if the minifig is to scale with the ship, then that is one small ship!

That's a very nice ship. I really like the old Liner design, it's quite well done. Don't worry about trying to make Lego ships scale. Instead use what I call 'Lego' scale. Imitating the overall shape and important functions of the origional, but in a downsized cartoony scale. Did you build that warship in the backround too? I wanna see more of that one. :)
