Yesterday i thought, my remote controlled Truck version 1.0 would not looks like a real Truck.
So i started to build a real Truck, with a better bed, a lower bumper, i redesigned the whole front and the driver`s cabine, i added doors, a big exhaust pipe and colored the whole Truck black.
The chassis, and driving/gearing are the same, only the Bodywork is different.
As you can see, it has much more details, and i like it more than before!
Look with your own eyes, and tell me what you think!
Look also at my remote controlled truck version 1.0
Here is alink to a video:
Overall side view
Back view 3/4, you can see the big exhaust pipe
Front view 3/4
Frontal view, a big sturdy front end
Driver`s cabine, door closed
door open
another side view to show the exhaust pipe
The bed with the electronics on it
driver cabine`s back, you can see the steering motor
It looks very esthetic and cool. The only thing is that the steering needs the white colored cog wheel with soft rubber center, because I heared the inner parts cracking because of the leeway, when the outer level of steerign has reached. If you a little redesign the sttering part of your truck by applying a cog wheel with soft center, that problem will maybe solved. On the Ferrari 599 GTB four seater that i'm working on, I also applied it and now my steering compartiment doesn't show any leeway and I don't hear even a small crack. It works on my model.
nice model, i like how you have enclosed the motor in the chassis for the drive, i will be making my own rc truck soon, maybe i can use that idea on mine, very well done.
Well done Joel
It is nice to see someone not only building nice working models in Technic but also developing them further.
Version 3 - would it be possible to hide the steering motor a bit more?
A truly great model from a 13 year old!
