The Necromancer attacks the gates of a Dwarven mine, but doesn't count on Dwarf-Punk Mecha defending the entrance!
This creation was constructed for the 2008 Battles Contest held on Classic-Castle.com. It was also a great oppertunity to enter my Troll Crusher as a contest entry, I just had to build a giant (by my standards) diorama to place him in ;) That was the time consuming part. The creation took about 3 weeks to build. With all the landscaping it really was a trial of endurance & commitment to quality & detail (bricks permiting because this baby chewed into my collection hard!).
I like fantasy, but I like my fantasy subtle. So this is bold step for me. I mean giant steam powered mecha piloted by dwarves battling a Necromancer rinding a troll & his horde of evil cronies and all.

WOW, I finally got the chance to purchase the 'Dwarf's mine' LEGO(R) set and know how large the 'Large Troll' is...He really looks puny here in this scene! All the green 'cheeses' are a great touch! I love all the holes the dwarves are coming out of and the dwarf being lowered down by the winch made me chuckle. Overall, Great MOC!
I was just looking through different favorite creations of mine, and I stumbled upon this one and read my review. Now that I am a bit better then I was then, I will say that I really enjoy the mossy rocks and the giant doors. Thanks for sharing!
OHH-MY-GOD! this is so cool, that, that, that, i dont even know what to say! first, rocks looks amazing, dwarf mecha is incredible, and all little( or big) stuff is awesome!
My favourite castle creation! check out my mocs
Wow, that's very impressive! I really like how the wooden framework on that tower looks. I also like how you used sloped bricks around the entrance to give it a rocky, carved look when you could have just left it all square.
This is a really fun one, Aaron! I've been toying with rock facades lately, as well as ancient ruins carved out of the rocks...this is very inspirational! Great job, by the way, on the doors...and of course the Dwarf Mech is priceless. Another great MOC!
