In the same vain as "Lamentation". Hope you like it.
About this creation

General Solo is afraid.

With all that he has faced in the past few years, this assignment frightens him the most.

He’s still not sure why they asked him to do it. General’s duties he guesses

He never was very good with this kind of thing.

Well, here goes nothing...
Mr. and Mrs. Kallis, As you are most likely aware, the Emperor has been killed and the Imperial forces have been scattered. Even with this there is still a danger with the Imperial remnant.

That being said, it is with great regret that I must inform you that your son, Jarren, was killed in action earlier today.

He and his team were stationed at an abandoned outpost on a planet in the outer rim. Due to security protocols, I am unable to release the details of your son’s mission. However, I can tell you that the mission was of vital importance to the Republic.

The team was taken by surprise and had almost no time to react to the attack

The team defended themselves as best they could but were no match for the Imperial squad.

Jarren knew they couldn’t win and ordered his team to retreat. Reluctantly they obeyed. He stayed behind to cover their escape.

I know it will come with little solice, but you should know that Jarren gave his life to save the lives of his team. They are alive today because of him.

Your son died with honor.

You should be very proud of Jarren. We have awarded him the "Saber of Valor" posthumously and hope you will accept it on his behalf. His sacrifice will be long remembered in the New Republic.

Thank you for your time and please accept our greatest sympathy
Sincerely, General Han Solo New Republic Military.

The most difficult job in the New Republic.
Forth wall Commentary - I hope you enjoyed the MOC. Thank you all for your comments on the "opinion" page. I took all of your advice to heart and decided not to add any blaster graphics. I will be taking down that page in a few days (I'm leaving it for a little while so new visitors can visit both if they are confused). Now that I've gotten the serious stuff out of my system, I can get back to the APMS (yes I know I said that last time...) Until next time (I still need a good catch phrase...) Later ~ Chris.
P.S. ~ Before any thirteen year old home schooled "fans" get on my case... I got this basic idea from a comic a number of years ago and thought it would look good as a moc. In the comic it wasn't Solo (I can't remember who it was) but the basic idea has always stuck with me and now I have an outlet to express it. Thanks ~ Chris.

This a great story, and very well articulated. You may have been a bard in another life! Any suggestions should I try this myself? |

If anyone were to ever re-make the star wars movies, I'd recommend they speak to you first. Again, this is the kind of introspective personal touches to the characters that Lucas unfortunately bulldozes over with an exploding Star Destroyer! |

Once again you have another great story and great scenes to go with it. I believe you are gaining on Mr. Young as the best story teller on this site. And thanks for your humorous reviews. They are always a great read. |

Again a wonderfully illustrated, well written story... If you keep doing this you could as well be starting a new building genre/categorie with those if you aren't careful :) |

Nice. Reminds me a little of Saving Private Ryan.
Just a little tip- the pics go straight down if you give them about six-ten spaces between. Try it then preview your next moc and see if it works. |
