I made this mech/mobile suit after my Gundam wannabe. I decided to go with legs that have an exagerated or extended foot, and it essentially stood on it's toes. It had lots of extras and I got to try out some new designs too :)
Here's the Titan with it's 150 mm artillery gun, and Sparrow rocket launcher (right arm). The flashback surpressor/recoil device is the most important part of this weapon. It redirects the kickback energy so that it spreads out in a circular fasion rather than straight back at the Titan, allowing it to fire without being knocked over.
Here's the Titan with all it's extras. On the far left is the Nano-Lattice Blade, and 60 mm anti-ground machine gun. Between the legs is the boost back, which could be used for short jumps to climb hills, and also helped keep the Titan from falling over. Below that are the C.O.W. Blades (Close Offense Weapon). These would be used when an anemy mech was within feet of the cockpit, and could be used to defend against physical attacks or to strike at vulerable areas.
Panty shot. Get yer mind outta the gutter XP
When moving slowly, the exagerated legs allow the knees to stay bent and the actual foot to stay under the mech's center of gravity. When 'running' the mech can take long strides and thus move very fast.
(The hip joints plauged me for being poseable, but not strong enough, making the Titan want to keel over even though it had strong legs)
Titan II with Nano-Lattice Blade slung over his shoulder. The blade is a complex structure of nano machines that when supplied with power, expand and assume the shape of the blade. Without power, the blade is like a fine piece of silk (but still very tough).
The sheild is hardened Titanium with depleted uranium covering the edges.
Very nice! I absolutely love this model, with the exception of the coloring. (Yeah, it's hard to color it all right, but if you can, it looks even better...) Great legs, especially the ankle guards, one of the harder points on most gundam/mecha. And eeeexcellent accessorizing.
