The MMF Heavy Assault Tank
Explore the secrets of the MMF Army's Heavy Assault Tank!
About this creation

The MMF (Mikrosheise Minifig Forces)’ Army is proud to introduce the Heavy Assault Tank. Though it was the first vehicle to enter their Army, it’s one of the last Army MOCs I’m going to post. Please enjoy.

Welcome, Gentlemen! Today I (I mean we) would like to introduce to you the Heavy Assault Tank (HAT), a fairly-advanced assault tank used in both defensive and offensive missions.

The HAT can travel up to 40 mph on smooth terrain with its simple yet bulky tracks, and can fire up to 35 rounds of cannonballs per minute.

Though it may look small and weak, please note that MMF Army tanks never retreat. Thus, the rear end isn’t armored well. Instead, they literally drive backwards when they’re forced to retreat, even when they don’t want to.

Yes, it is a smallish vehicle compared to other tanks I’ve seen on MOCpages. Though it does not have an “unlimited” number of weapons, it is heavily armored nevertheless.

For example, look at those four canons protruding from its 8-inch hide. And to “top it all off,” we’ve got ourselves a 360-degree-rotating head with an 8-foot single-barrel canon.

Special Features

Unless you haven’t figured it out already, the HAT has two “landing ports” on the rear side. This way the drivers can board the HAT in seconds and be on their way, and also evacuate a maimed unit quickly as well. But that’s not to say that a HAT can be maimed very easily.

If the drivers get tired of firing from inside, they can open up the roof to look out to see what’s going on, or pull up a heavy machine gun and start firing away. A little shield can be installed as well.

Look inside and you can see how the gunner is supported. This mechanical arm can be raised and lowered at the push of a button.

But if you think you’ve seen everything, you’ve guessed wrong.

Interiors

Now let’s look at the interiors. A HAT is usually operated by a team of three: a captain, a pilot, and a gunner. While the pilot drives and operates the four small canons, and the captain communicates to base, the gunner operates the big overhead canon. He is also the guy that opens the roof to shoot with a manual machine gun.

Notice how complex the equipment is. To no surprise, training usually requires one or two years, and only the strongest and bravest survive to the end of their training courses.

Though it’s tough to be in the MMF Army, once you’re an expert it can be fun and thrilling to drive a HAT. Here the crew of Unit 6 pose for a photo shoot.

Your tank is a little odd looking. Sure u can copy my tank, as long as you give me credit for it.

The turret is too small. I'm using the same piece for a chain gun. I think that is supposed to be like a big cannon right?

i personally dont think its really good. i like the rear doors, but the turret flipping up wouldnt be possible. if we can see the underside of the turret like we can, its apparent that there's no ammuntion feed. check out aleksander s.e.'s kodiak tank. that thing is awesome and might help you out
