Battle Tested (Vignette)
This is my first scene of any size, this specific one is a vignette [small scale recreation] is of Alpha Squad, the Republic's finest legion of clone commandos...In the photo are 15 [right side] (2nd Commander of Alpha Squad), 61 [top] (demolition), and 35 [left side] (2nd in Command, elite). They are 3 of the main characters in my upcoming issues of comics of their finest and worst moments. In this vig, they are on an urban planet. Specs: 12 studs by 12 studs, this means this vignette is a "Super Vig" according to Still look for bigger ones in the near future!
About this creation

Overall shot of the vig. A smaller sized vignette to say the least, but it says what what the Republic is trying to say. *Give me time to figure out what I just said* Anyways, the base of the vig is completely SNOT, which all of my vigs will be [all of the flooring in my vigs, to be more specific].

1/4 angle...shows off the whole vig also.

This is more of a closeup of 61 (left) and 35 (right). 61 is always willing to crack a joke, and he knows a thing or two about blowing stuff up. 35 starts out as a commando who's too willing to follow protocol, which ends up making 42 (Alpha Squad's original commander) pay the ultimate price.

In response to Don Webber, the droid is not surrendering, he was hit by a blaster shot (I don't photoshop vigs). If you see any droids doing a 'spread eagle', it's because they've been shot. You can probably tell by now that I forgive all [err...most] mistakes.

In response to 'Awesome-o-saurus', you can use them, but I would suggest reading the first issue of my comics coming out in about a month, so you can get a grasp on the different characters. Also I didn't include every memeber of Alpha Squad in this vignette, and I will be posting a MOC about the same time as the first issue comes out; it will show how to make the packs and other gear they use. Happy MOCing!

The commenter below is right, but it's a GOOD base plate with figs on it! (Seriously, this is awesome!)

So what if it's just a random collection of pieces strewn everywhere? After a few hours of futuristic warfare, that's what MOST battlefields would look like. It could be a little more organized, but it's pretty accurate. If you're having trouble showing that the droid in the corner is being shot, use a lightsaber blade to simulate a blaster bolt.

come on,you guys!for pete sake, julian,do you know how hard it is to look like that!thats called action!it is not easy to look lie it is just frozen in right in the middle of the battle!just like its hard to look like a ship just crashed!in real life, that would be called tragedy, however in legos, thats art!thats skill!and thats...awesome.

I'm sorry but I really don't get it. It IS just 5 figures surrounded by blocks. A retarded parrot with one eye, no legs no wings and half a beak could make this.

I like the troopers and all it says is Alpha Squadron Commando 15, all your doing is calling yourself a commando, i don't see alpha squadron or any mocs of an alpha squadron anywhere, so stop complaining about it please. I think diorama is okay but all it is is just a bunch of bricks with a couple minifigs

a pile of junk? please, this is amazing. the back of 69? or 67? is a really nice peice of lego building. I like how you made the droid being blown backwards, without adding in effects to the picture.
  March 18, 2008
Nice vignette ! I love how the clone on the right hurt the droid. This kind of MOC must be very well done to be good, and it's the case with yours. I'm waiting for the comics :-)

Do you mind if I use the whole "Aplha Aquad 15" thing for one of my Mirror Universe's? Because these clones would make powerful allies... At least thier conterparts from another plane of existence would.

Nice! I like how you didn't cramp it with too many minifigs. Oh, and by the way, thanks for the comment that a poem would go good with my trash can MOC. I liked the idea, so I wrote one for it; it's on my page right now. (It is totally not very good at all, but hey, worth a shot, right?)
