The Kalimahari Electronics Warfare Frigate.
About this creation
Hello and Welcome to Syuton Corp. - Feel free to check out the corp's Flickr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tayasuune/
We at Syuton are pleased to Announce the development of of a large scale vessel Is completed and the prototype has reached the market evaluation phase.
After the Abysmal failure of the Endless Sky project, The Tayasuune Aironautics Corperation fired the entire design and engineering teams and Underwent an overhaul to slim down expenditures and firm up profit margins. Now named the Syuton Corperation, they have hit the market once more.
Ironically, the Kalimahari - the first project over 20 studs long in the entire history of Syuton, would cost the corperation more than the endless sky program ever would. The Kalimahari neccitated the direct purchase of two set 7659's ( "Imperial Landing Craft" ) And one set 7692 ( "MX - 71 Recon Dropship" ).
At 64 studs long, The Kalimahari Has ushered in a new era for the Corp, somthing that has not happened in a long time.
Without further ado, Syuton Presents The Kalimahari!
The exterior:

This is a nice shot - too bad my Background coulden't cover the black spot.

Allright, this next bunch of shots will show you the differant sections of the hull in greater detail, moving right to left. Note in the second pic the minifig staring at you.

Dissection time. Here you will see the inner workings of the Kalimahari. Note the ship has no gravity and up and down is relitive.

I really like this shot, no clue as to why.

This is also another favorite - maybe it the complexity of the interior...

Nose looking down through the ship.

Inquisitorial Sturmtroopers ready for a little EVA action.

Thats all folks...
Again, Photographic how-to and advice is just as welcome as building advice. Thank you all for looking and as usual, stay tuned for more projects that are up and comming.
Response - True, I think I will have to crop the photos - they're just too big. I just didn't want to have to do all that photoshoping... ah well, thanks.
Response - RagsnaRock - I allready have the basic design of another ship - an actual S.H.I.P - already laid out. I just need to invest more money in parts ( such as theose ever so usefull Y wing mini rods ), Something I'm soon to do.
Update: I wasn't aware that MOCpages had photohosting... will have to try that.
Thanks guys - this is the most reviews I've ever gotten. I appreciate the tips and the compliments!

Fantastic design. I love how the center section opens. I hope you don't mind if I use similar idea. If you have a free moment, I would greatly appreciate your expert opinion of my Flying Rhino. |

I like the tower/antenna thing and the observation bubble, as well as the use of curves. But my favorite part is the use of the cockpit elements as side windows that allow one to see into the hall and out the other side. That just blew my mind! Nice work! |

I always told myself if I ever built a space frigate, cruiser or destroyer it'd have to be very big but clearly you've shown size isn't essential. I'm guessing you've gone for a smaller cramped submarine type look. This looks awesome and I love what you did with those curved pieces surrounding the engine. Now I really want to create my own take on a space frigate. All I need are more pieces... |

It always makes me happy to see that what I thought was microscale actually isn't. The dome cockpit is really cool and all the interior bits are a great touch. Makes me wanna try something like this but um... no. Then engine detailing makes it look absolutely functional and that's a real achievement! |

Simply beautiful!
This MOC contains everything I look for in a spacecraft, namely the form. there's no friction in space so a ship can be any shape you desire and this is no exception. the clean lines at the front are nicely balanced with the heavy greebling and engine detail at the rear. A simple, functional linear style is present throught the ship and it's clear to see that a lot of thought wnet into the design.
Splendid work. ;) |

You took a common boxy capital-ship shape and made it a lot more interesting with lots of angles and curves. I especially like how you made the mid-section open up with the fold down walls/roof. The use of the arches around the back thrusters is a nice touch, and gives this space-worthy ship more character. Keep up the good work, someday it'd be nice to see something similar on a larger scale. |

Fantastic MOC. Great design overall, and some excellent/unique use of parts. A subtle, but well arranged color scheme. If you would like some photography advice (including photoshop enhancement) feel free to email me - I'm not the greatest, but could offer some advice. Meanwhile, this is an excellent creation. Keep 'em comin'! |

I agree with Keith, the engine section is awesome. I just don't know how you got that one line of bricks to curve around it like that. I'd like to see some more detail near the front and a few more antennas sticking out, but this is a solid build. |

It is a lovely ship, not my favourite colour, but I can't picture it any other way. Nice job. I have to echo the comment regarding the cropping though. Lee. |

You made an excellent creation... but i have some advice. Try cropping your photos, not necesarrily all of them, just the ones with small details in the center. Like the controls, or the minifigs; just get rid of the wasted space. It takes less space, and you have more layout options. |
