The "Thunderhead" is a class of large warships used in space battles. No, it is not minifig scale. It is about the size of an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer, and probably tougher. The front "head" of the ship is heavily armored, and can withstand everything up to a superlaser, and in some cases, can be used to ram enemy vessels. Its armament consists of 6 large weapon emplacements, and several hundred smaller batteries. It has a crew of 30,000, can carry up to 2 legions of troops. This also can deploy fighters for defense, and carries 50 Gladius Transports and 200 Wasp Fighters. A hanger is located on either side of the "neck".
About this creation

Front view. This is probably my favorite front that I've made.
Top view.
Side.
Bottom. I started this ship by making the bottom, so it is much better than the top. I spent several hours trying to make it studless, then realized I didn't have enough tiles anyway, and gave up.
Top view of the back. This is where most of the weapons are concentrated.
Detail of the frontal turret and the secondary bridge.
The main bridge. This bridge's high position allows it to look upon the entire vehicle, and recieve communication transmissions easily. There are multiple bridges to ensure that the Executor incident from Ep.6 is not replicated.
This would be the view you would see if you were in the main bridge.
Another bridge-view. I was trying to get a good picture of the tri-cannon, but this was the unfortunate result.
The two huge cannons on either side of the head are used in high-powered barrages and planetary bombardments.
Top view of the head. You can tell I worked on the head first, as it is nearly studless, while the back is very studded because I ran out of tiles.
Zoom of the docking bay.
Underside of the head.
Underside of the midsection.
The engine array is pretty basic.
I just thought this shot looked good.
On the back of the wings I tried to indent the inside of the wing to have a sort of engine affect
Top view of the head. The bridge is on the side because I forgot to put it back on after the underside shots.
The wings have the most weaponry of all the parts of the ship.
Heh. You do not want to be seeing this view...
A red variation, designating a command ship. This is the most colorful creation I've done yet.

This is a beauty of a creation, a very nice basic shape and structure. My only complaint is that the greebles and whatnot look a little too tacked on. Very nice ship! P.S. Is it a S.H.I.P. ship? |

Nice! The wings really add to the MOC, and the red striped one is the best.

It's got the shape and intimidation factor of a much larger ship in a small package, and I like that you gave it just enough weapons to be really threatening without being silly. Don't worry about color variations, in this case it makes it look like a seasoned fighter. And yeah, that front shot is fantastic. |

It's got a FANTASTIC form and sense of weight. I love the front section and the heavy armorment. To me it's a bit "busy" or "chaotic" visually, perhaps due to the color variations. I offer this critism because this MOC takes you a step above the average MOC, and puts you on a level of building that has a higher standard. All in all, it's a great design and execution. I'll be looking forward to seeing what else you create. Nice job!!!! |
