About this creation
ok, this is just a work in progress. when you see it you'll realize. here's the inspiration:

first off, the tape. its ugly I know, but eventually I plan to paint these ugly blue pieces with this pattern since it's virtually impossible to pull off using Legos. maybe I'll use some Mega Blok paint which washes off...
anyways, pretend its paint.
second, the flares over the forward (lightspeed) engines. which
third, which side of the back end looks better(assuming I find these two pieces in blue on Bricklink), the side with the white corner roof tile or the grey 2x3 angle removed piece(what the heck is this actually called?)
its actually made of few parts from any SW sets, the Sith Infiltrator getting the worst end of the deal. I just saw a ton of ugly blue parts and thought, why not try that starfighter. its an extremely difficult ship because its supposed to look thin and sharp and yet has more features than a regular starfighter. here's the only other 2 I saw and I didn't like the look of using the Lego starfighter w/blue pieces and hooking on some engines:

and this one's nice but not too accurate(not that mine is yet either):

I like those 2 a lot but really wanted to try my hand at it. other than that, and fact the front isn't pointy like Ani's ship (which I hope to eventually address) I'd love some extreme criticism. hurt me if you want.

yeah, the tape looks awful, but I might paint it with wash off paint to get the right effect

poll #1: assume these 2 parts are blue, which do you prefer?

and up. I used this initially to keep the shape of the fighter thin while giving a tapering illusion, but when I shortened the length (by 7 studs!) it worked very nice as a substitute front gear, and so I kept it. if you hate it call it Poll #3 and let me know
