The Mikrosheise Minifig Forces' variation of Mike Yoder's Minifig-Scale Military Humvee Vehicle
About this creation
Mike Yoder posted his Humvee with instructions. The MMF immediately took advantage to create their own personal livery.
Ever since that wonderful Wednesday afternoon when the MMF discovered Mike Yoder‘s unbelievably accurate Humvee – complete with instructions – the MMF designing team was sure they could pull off another MOC; and this time a truck, not an aircraft!
Thanks to Mike Yoder‘s detailed Humvee – complete with instructions, the MMF designing crew were able to come out with a truck 90% as good as the original, this time with a light-gray desert scheme. After all, who wants to post a creation that is not only the same build as another, but the same COLOR?! I don’t think so . . .
The MMF’s Humvee design features the same crafty features as the original, including opening doors. Like the real thing, it’s a true gas guzzler, but it can transport four minifigs comfortably as well as some supplies, despite the fact that the trunk is imaginary.
The windshield isn’t perfect, but what can look better with 100% true Lego pieces?
A terribly blurry photo is shown here, depicting the dashboard and front seats. The same thing, the same story as the original. Yup, it’s not all that great when you consider the creativity (because there was none), but I posted it anyway, and that’s that.
The MMF is proud of their snazzy wheel configuration, though now the design is a wide target for thieves who would love to get their hands on those wheels.
The “Yoder” Humvee configuration is a little big (actually huge) compared to the minifigs that drive them, but at least they can’t be called puny. The MMF is proud to announce an order for two additional bley Humvees which are expected sometime in May 2008. There goes my allowance conservation vow.
Did you notice that this page is too short? Maybe I’ll add some more details later . . .
this is a nice humvee, it looks much smoother than the others I saw on Mocpages. About the credit for enlarging pictures, you don't have to do that you know, you already do my a favor by putting larger pictures on a page, that way i don't need to click on the pictures because I can easely see what is on it, so thank you for wanting to improve your mocs
It is a good humvee, but i think you should add a machine gun to the top for enemy attacks. The lack of weaponry makes it an easy target, even with speed. Check out my humvee and maybe you could get some ideas.
Cool. This does look like Mike's, but it's still original. (And you named it after his) Because of a mocpages error, I cant change my review, I would like to ally with the MMF, email me if you would like me to add you to my homepage.
