First new creation in almost twenty years. I'm thilled.
About this creation
I had just gotten the new Cafe Corner Lego set 10182 which I built as soon as I got the box home from picking it up at the post office. After building the official model cafe/hotel, I took off the top floor, built a new third floor, and then put the top floor on top of that, making a four storey building instead of three. After that amazing experience, I knew I wanted to get away from the really Gothic, overly detailed building like that one and do something more graphic and streamlined. That's how this house came to be. It's simple, clean and calm. That's how I came up with the idea of calling it the beach House. If I was a little Lego guy I would love to watch the ocean waves crashing against the shore from that huge bank of windows on the top floor. Morning coffee out on the balcony would be just my cup of tea!
I've found this picture over at the Lego.com website. Some member in their building club uploaded it as their own creation. It was brought to my attention by a member of my Lego group over at Flickr.com. A lot of these photos of mine link back to my Flickr account if you double click on them. Thanks to everyone for your fantastic comments and ratings. I've been so busy that I haven't built anything in quite a while but last night I got all my brick boxes out and started on another little house. I hope to have it done soon. Meanwhile, thanks again.
