Taliarn TAPC TinyTurtle Desert Variant.
About this creation
Here's the Taliarn TAPC TinyTurtle, Desert Variant.
Modified from the original TAPC, this is much better suited to the desert terrain in which it is used, because of it's upgraded cooling system, desert camo, different, and wheel positioning that allows for faster travel through the wastelands. Keeping better AP (anti-personnel) cannons on the front, with a special screen which allows projectiles to be fired out, whilst keeping sand from getting in. Greater ground clearance helps the TinyTurtle from getting stuck in shifting sand.
I had a ton of fun remodeling the old one, and making the Taliarn desert sniper/mortar team.
Here is a recorded mission.
A lone TAPC speeds across the desert on an important mission, but falls under attack by a squadron of Plagor Fighters and a Bomber. It is hit a few times, but the Semrylae compostite armor shrugs the light fire off.
Then the Bomber homes in on the TinyTurtle. The Plagor bomber pilot reaches for the lever to send a missile blasting into the Turtle, but just then a fusilade of light rockets slam into the cockpit of the Bomber, killing the pilot and sending the missile off into the sky. A HAFT streaks towards the squadron, blazing death at the three Plagors. A little while later, the desert is littered with black metals and burning oil.
*You're welcome, D-14,* comes the HAFTs pilot's voice through the comm in the TAPC, and the HAFT speeds off into the sky.
The Taliarn Mortar/Sniper team are safely at their destination: on a small rise above the landing zone for a Plagor Troop Transport. The spotter has his SERC(Scope Equipped Reka Carbine) at the ready, to protect the others. The sniper lays down, adjusting his scope to the range. The Mortar operator, with his HM-12 light mortar, gets down and waits next to the TAPC.
A Plagor Troop Transport appears from behind a dune, and the Taliarn Squad scrambles for the Mortar and sniper.
The PTT is disgorging troops from its dark underbelly when the mortar shell hurtles in, exploding on impact, sending the troops on the ground flying, and decimating the unlucky ones still inside.
The Merc's lightning-reflexes save him, jetting his jets and getting out of the way of the blast.
A few Plagor Troops have survived...
But not for long. The Sniper and Spotter work with deadly precision.
A little while later...*D-14 reporting in, Mission Accomplished*.
I did all the effects and backgrounds myself.
:) I had so much fun with this, please leave a review.
This is NOT a MOC for the creation itself, just a story including it. Okay? can you stop rating it lowly?
@ MC, no thanks, there are WAY to many (mostly badly made) Halo things on MOCpages, I don't want to add to the number. Thanks for the review, mate.

This is a great little design, very cute but still believable. Anyway, about turrets: look at other tanks on this site, most have some kind of armored "shell" with the gun mounted in front. The "shell" holds either the gunner or (more often) some machinery that loads the weapon. There's more to a gun than just a gun barrel. Your ground vehicles are great, good turrets will make them some of the best on this site. |

Just so you know, i am keeping your planet from being overrun by hostile empires, i just convinced the blood gultch fleet to not declare war against you. if you didn't have strong backers like the LIU you would be fried by now. oh and i enjoy our little war of attrition, and i don't want other less experienced empires messing with MY war! |

Did you hear? Kavon Z. and Alexander Pierson have declared war on the LIU! No need for worry, however . . . as long as we round up our alliances, they'll soon perish and forever be forgotten on MOCpages. Report! Report! |

great job! looks better than your first one. you might want to consider more types of transport craft, all you have is really slow things, i think you could use some faster cargo ships/airspeeders. oh and don't get too carried away with photoshop! there is a certain beauty to unaltered pics. |
