A tall CCC wall along a beach, with an evil hoard attacking.
About this creation
After making the "Ruin by the Sea", I was really fond of the beach effect. When it came time to make a castle wall for a MichLUG display, I knew I wanted to try an recreate that effect. However it wasn't enough to create the wall along the sea, I wanted to created a breach in the wall for a battle scence. Medieval displays are at a disadvantage, Train layouts have the trains to add motion, life, to the display. While a windmill and similar features can help, a battle scence can really do a lot to give the crowd something to look at.
This wall made it's debut at MichLUG's display at the Motor City Comic Con in May 2004. It was there that these pictures were taken. If you are interested in building a wall to this standard, instructions are available.

This reminds me of the battle of Minas Tirith in the last lord of the rings. I mean you got some knights up on a wall shooting at the skeletons who are trying to breach the gate. Which is exactly what it was like in The return of the king. The only difference is that instead of an open field, It's on a bridge. But that's cooler. This thing is really awesome. I hope to see more from you! 5/5 dude! |

Nice detail! Just how many minifigs are on the wall? Any chance you will be bring this to Comic con 09 in Novi? Not sure how many figs without counting and I won't be at Comic Con this year.
This an other creations of mine will be setup at the Box Factory for the Arts (Saint Joseph, MI) during December though.

I tried the instructions link and came up empty. I'd love to build something to the standard for an upcoming storyline in my castleish comic, Glomshire Knights. Could you p.m. the instructions to me? I'm looking forward into checking out the rest of your impressive body of work, too. |

How on earth could I have missed this fantastic creation? The sheer amount of detail in the wall alone deserves attention, but the rest just adds the already amazing effect. Your town houses are brilliant, and I can only dream about having your amount of knights and undead soldiers. Outstanding work, definetly worthy of MOTD - Callum |

I also like the way you mixed up the different torso's. It gives it a medieval-feodal feel. no to mention the detail of the town behind the wall! |
