Everyone who has played Halo knows what the Pelican Dropship is. This is my custom LEGO version of the aircraft.
About this creation
The minifigs shown here were made using DECAL (STICKER) designs custom-drawn by me. I now provide a printing service for these decals HERE.
This was first posted April 9, 2004, and I admit - it's not one of my
best creations. It's studdy, boxy, and small. But at the time, I
considered it an awfully big undertaking. The Pelican is not only pretty
oddly shaped and difficult to accomplish in LEGO, but it's also freakin'
huge - it can carry a Scorpion Tank on its rear end! So needless to say,
mine is on a much smaller scale.
The Pelican showing off its assets. As usual, I tried to include every
play feature I could. It was troublesome finding a way to make the
engine pods on the front stay rotated, but I felt it necessary.
Another play feature I worked hard to include was an easy-access
interior. The whole troop compartment folds down on a hinge.
Although it's never shown in the original Halo, the pelican's chin-gun
is clearly visible in Halo 2.
Before you ask, no, it can't carry the Warthog. In fact, it can't carry
any vehicles. I should probably make a bigger and better version in the
future, since I know that I could, but it's doubtful than I
actually will.

Unfortunately i have to agree with that Krystek Pietrzak guy. however you pronounce that. You are a fantastic builder dont get me wrong. And so much of my inspiration has come from you, but this isn't particularly your best work. It is good just not as good as some of your other creations like your Warthog perhaps. Can't wait to see what Halo creations you come up with next mate. |

I know this is old but it's still pretty good if a bit blocky. I think your other Halo stuff is better. It would be so cool to have Saber Scorp himself comment on my mocs so if you get the chance could you check 'em out? |

Im not going to give you a 5/5 just because your the "famous" saber scorpion. When are you going to rebuild it? i want to see a v.2. this is definetly not the best pelican. check mine out. |

I think its awesome. I'm in process of making a pelican and its freakin hard. I can't figure out how to make the dang wings and engines be able to rotate to the body of the pelican. If anyone knows how please contact me. I'm also on brickarms forums as theawesome911 |

this is a great Vehicle, i like it. Its more of a short range, Troop transport version of the full blown Pelican.
I have some microfig/minis that are versions of the Pelican... Very liberal interpretations of, but still versions, ill post them soon. |

I love this Pelican. It's really detailed, even down to the cockpit shape. And the message to all detail maniac noobs out there: Stop griping. You can only do so much with LEGO, and Justin reached the pinnacle on this one. 5/5. |

It is kinda short, and like all of them it is out of scale with the game. But the one in the game is like 7times bigger than the scorpion tank, which is huge in and of itself. I don't understand how you connected your front engines, and would love it if you told me. However I did like the design enough to copy some of your stuff. I don't know if I'm gonna post it or not though. Good job but it is about time for Version 2. |

wow dude that is wey cwl!
i tried to make one of these but the troop area was WHEY too big, so i named it the UNSC Swan mobile base,and said that it lands somewere and turns into a mobile command base for away missions, it was so big it could hold my lego mongoose in it and it even had a ramp for it to drive off and on.
sadly i forgot to take some picks of it but anyway :(

I have been looking for pelican for a few years now. I have seen many. There is one that could carry a warthog but looked more like a helicopter. If you still have the plans you used to make this plz email them to me. This is among the top 5 ive seen. |

Nice job. This inspired me to make my own. The only thing you forgot is the part in the back where the vehicles go. Your pelican looks better than mine though. I tried to make it so i could attach my warthog on the back but i wasn't too successful. |

Cool, But i have a question. I was wondering if you could modifide you spartan helmets.
Your decals are ok, but the helmet is too round and has those blocky things above the eyes. I hope this commentair helps you to get more visitors! Good luck with new creations! |

This pelican is okay. I've definitely seen way better ones, even on this site. (Who chooses the MOC of the day, too? This has been declared MOC of the day at least twice now, and its not even the best pelican out there.) I'm not saying its bad, it is a good-looking pelican, but there is room for improvement.

Your Pelican was the reason I put mine on the web. I especially like the access to the troop compartment, and wish I had done it on mine. I also wish I had had enough gray to make it one color like yours. I personally like the seperate compartments for the troops. However, the back thrusters need to attach to the body, not the wings, and it seems that the section on the back where the warthog usually attaches is missing. If you ever read this, please check out my Pelican and give me some input. |

This is pretty good but not accurate. It can hold 10 marines, a pilot and copilot and there is a space between the marines and cockpit where an officer can sit.(Maybe where Johnson sits) It is also too small in the back to carry a tank of enev a warthog. The pelican pictures I am going to upload are more accurate. Will you please come and review it? Anyways the pelican is still good. |

Excellent, as we all can expect. Wait a minute, have I started ALL my reviews for you with that sentence?! Well, it's almost perfect. Here are some reccomendations for improvemnts if it is still intact, that is. 1: try to make the cocpit fit a copilot as well. Next, the pelican, you may be surprised to know, is TINY, I repeat TINY compared to the real one. The thing is has to be able to fit ten marines, and have lockers for 30 marines between the cocpit and troop compartment. Also, the cocpit should be able to fit an officer between the pilot and the copilot. PS: Don't go on that my Pelican is even smaller than yours. |

I think that the creation is good overall, only that it should be able to carry 10 marines
instead of carrying 6 marines comfortable.
It's sad it can't carry the hog, but its still a good creation, but I prefer mine. |

I don't think that building a bigger pelican would be oversized. In fact, I think yours is too small. Pelicans are enormous. My advice is to build it bigger, extend the back end, move the wings forward, and work a little bit on the cockpit. Yours should be big enough to fit your scorpion underneath it. That would be perfect size. |

And there's absolutely no room for a warthog unless it was 2 bricks long. and wheres the troop capacity? the pelican in the game has enough room for 10 marines. yours only looks like it can carry 5 or 6. compared to your other customs this ones a lemon. sorry man. |
