As always, I'm a no-good idea thief and I stole Matthew Sylvan's ideas on one of his planes. Seriously, check out his creations, they're amazing.
About this creation
The Cierva I.3 fighter is a new state-of-the-art fighter produced by Cierva Aeronautical Manufacturing. Powered by a heavy engine and armed with 4 cannons, the I.3 is a feared fighter.
Originally, the cockpit was clear. Unfortunately, I could not get POVray to render the transparent canopy, so I had to replace it with black bricks.
Here's an image from LDD with the transparent windshield on the I.3m.
The Cierva I.3m is the naval version of the I.3. It features the same armament and engine, but with re-designed wings and landing gear. Unfortunately, due to the placement of the guns I could not fit the standard landing gear I made for the regular I.3. I had to make some simple retracting landing gear that folded down from the side of the aircraft.
Here's the folding wings. Oddly I couldn't rotate the wings more than 90 degrees, even though there was nothing blocking it from doing so in the LDD file. Odd.
As always, the LXF is here for you to look at, but is mostly here in case I lose the file on my computer. DO NOT use the file without my permission.
