The Thule class is a second generation battleship build and used by the Axsjo naval forces. It measures over 200 meters and is armed with nine 350 mm naval cannons, ten 150 mm cannons, twelve 40 mm twin flak guns and ten 5 mm machine guns. The standard crew consists of 1600 enlisted men and women. It is able to carry four landing boats. Later versions do have a catapult installed at the rear deck for a float plane to act as a scout.
The 7.5 cm PvK (Pansarvarnskanon) is an anti tank weapon used by the Axsjo Territorial defence forces (Forsvarsmakt). The design of the gun itself is derived from the Belkaustan Pachmauser 88mm cannon.
The Forsvarsmakt are the armed forces of the Axsjo territory. It is well known that it s infantry are well trained and equipped, thus presenting a force that is both capable and fearsome.
Axsjo tanks count a crew of four. A gunner, loader, commander and a driver. Like most Axsjo forces they re highly trained and get into active service only after years of hard training.
Axsjo s former neighboors always favored to use it s undertrained and ill-equiped infantry as cannon fodder to overwhelm the enemy. However this philosophy is not shared with the Axsjo military, which was forced to create a highly trained but relatively small army due to it s smaller population. During the previous 650 years this proces resulted in one of the most well trained land forces in the world. Equipped with the most modern machine guns, rifles and several anti-tank weapons Axsjo engineers have to offer.
As a result of the smaller population the Forsvarsmakt began to conscript women. When this was done (as one of the first countries in the region) during the third raiding war (1507 A.S.) it proved to be highly succeslful. This also helped to give women the same rights as men. The military branche with the most women is the sniper branche.
After the introduction of the Belkaustan Sturmtruppen and the succes they were, the Axsjo military command wanted to have something similar. The result were the pansret infanteri or armored trooper.
Ingor Rehn (born in Lendemark 1897) is the highest ranking member of the Forsvarsmakt. Having succesfully staged a coup in 1929 against the monarchy he decided not to become the leader of the country, but stor faltherre (great general) of the military instead. His actions included the restoration of the army and military industry to it s former glory but also the re-introduction of the Vornplikt (compulsory enlistment of people in military service) earning his rightfull place in history.
The training of the crew of any naval vessel is essential for the survival of the nation. Most crews are well trained and can operate a large scala of weapons onboard the ship they re stationed on.
The Stridsvagn( StrV) called Villsvin is a heavy tank developed and manufactured by Ildved Tungindustri. After previous attempts to make a decent heavy tank for the Axsjo forces failed, a new bolt idea was to be used as a basis for a completly new tank. The Villsvin (Wild boar) follows the philosophy of heavy, strong and very well trained units but resulted, compared to other nations, in small production numbers. It weighs 68 metric tons and is armed with a 125 mm naval cannon, four machine guns and, thanks to the Belkaustan copied engine, can reach speeds on 60 km/h on roads. Like most Axsjo tanks it has a crew of four.
Special thanks to Alex Sonny since most of the tank design is his.
That is a fine looking tank, and by far the most interesting model in the group pool right now. Really fine work, especially the turret. I like your minifig selection too. My only nitpick (and its only a nitpick) is that the battleship looks a litte...busy? Its cool in a stylized way, but it comes across as almost too textured? Anyway, I hope you take that in the spirit it was meant and not an insult, this posting has some great stuff and I look forward to your future builds.
Mr. Brickviller. Excellent stuff. The use of women in the force is not unique, but it is something most builders overlook. Glad to see you buck that trend. the tank is sleek and the rounded rear section is totally cool. I would only point out that when you build in dark colors, you need LOTS of light to show details better. Your anti-tank gun seems to have some excellent details, but the darkness of those pics conceals them from the viewer. Again, well done. Attack!
