This was a fun build and itís my first halftrack, it is composed of a studfull body on a studless hull.
About this creation
The Sd.Kfz. (Sonderkraftfahrzeug) stands for special purpose vehicle, this vehicle is the largest halftrack that was produced in large quantities during World War II. It was used to haul heavy gun emplacements like the 15cm, 17cm, 21cm, and 24cm; it was also used to tow damaged vehicles, one Sd.kfz 9 could pull 28 tons of weight. This allowed one vehicle to easily pull a Pz. IV and lighter variants but for larger tanks like the tiger and panther series, it would require 3 of these to pull one of them.
This model is probably one of my most mechanically advanced models and it packs quite a few motors in a small hull. It features 2 XL motors for propulsion, a braked differential for ease of mobility, live axle suspension for front axle, torsion bar suspension for the rear axle, and V6 engine.
