LOM- The Sapphire

As the fog cleared, the massive vessel plowed through the waves southwest of Isla Norte. Though the wind was at their head, the ship’s rowers were setting a good pace towards Rainos.

LOM- The Sapphire

On the decks, the army shared the space between cargo bales with the sailors from Worsan.

Captain Morgan and I stood on the poop together. “Yes, I remember ye,” he was saying thoughtfully. “Ye be the trader from Worsan, who went after that pyromancer. My, ye’ve moved up i’ the world!”

“How did you know I was in such need of a ship?” I asked.

“Have ye ever heard of the Stormhawks, or the Nighthawks or some such? ‘Twas they who told me to go to Orfdor with a ship, or my life t’would be in danger.”

The Nighthawks again! Who were they, and who was Sir James? “I thank you,” I said politely. “By any chance do you have a suit of armor I may borrow?”

“Ah do indeed, lad!” replied the captain, dragging a crate forward with a flourish. Inside, gleaming in the afternoon sun, was my armor from the Tourney! I had believed it destroyed in Carthal, but here it was before me. “This was another thing the Nighthawks told me to give to the commander here. Were ye expectin’ this?”

I slipped into the armor. The setting sun was gleaming off every part of the ship. To port, a dim line on the horizon marked Rainos: we ought to reach the shore south of Hadran by nightfall.

I was coming for her.

What Happens Next?

Those who have been following my story might guess what a setting sun foreshadows.

This moc has been waiting since late May for an LOM adaptation, and I finally got the time to write one. The ship started off as a Viking ship, hence the hulls, but after seeing Gabe’s Barquan Dromon, I realized I could make a more impressive ship if it was Middle-Eastern-styled. In addition, this is a crossover with Evan Botkin. His characters are all traveling to Rainos aboard this ship.

Basil is traveling on deck…

…but Bjark, Aldrich, and Aalina have to row.

Thanks for looking!

Quoting Halhi 141 I'm not joking, actually. I really dislike that pretty much every ship builder uses prefab hulls whereas builders in pretty much any other theme avoid prefab parts. I know from experience that custom hulls take a lot of parts though, so. I just don't like leaving a comment with just a "nice build" :P
OK, non-sarcastic comment here. I had a choice, either to do a small ship using all my suitable brown pieces in a brickbuilt hull, or to make a ship this size and be able to make multiple decks, a cabin, hoardings, etc. I decided that detail and size trumped having a gappy brickbuilt hull.

Quoting Halhi 141 Nice ship, but the prefab hulls detract from it a bit.
I know you're joking, right? You aren't seriously going to leave a comment just to whine about something being prefab?
