Cybercity-1 tales of Alta-5 EP #5; The vertical farm
Episode #5; the vertical farm
About this creation
Trying to accumulate as much information that they can, the GF agents continue
their tour of the city with the Mayor......

AGENT #1;
MR MAYOR!
What is the urgency to summon us at 5 in the morning?
MAYOR PROCTOR;
Buisness as usual!
1

MAYOR;
A farm is no office, it starts early, at 5, is a local farmer s market...
2

MAYOR;
Farmers close-by, come here to trade food, or sell, this is their 1rst income.
AGENT#2;
It had better! this building must employ lots of people!
3

MAYOR;
Around 5h30, comes the milk tanker, we sell the excess milk to companies or other cities.
4

MAYOR;
The local grocery transport is the 1rst customer, he distributes for Cybercity, or
nearby other cities.
AGENT #1;
Will we go inside the building?
5

MAYOR;
Now the refrigerated transport arrives, they will sell all that s left
from the inventory.
AGENT #2;
Are those monkeys?
6

MAYOR;
At 6h30, the grain transport comes to take a load, we make lots of income
from the grain.
AGENT #2;
I don t see much expenses, it might yet be profitable...
7

MAYOR;
Well, we do have expenses, we have no nursery, so we buy and trade animals.
AGENT #1;
Hopefully, you have other sourses of income.
8

MAYOR;
Meet Mr Kombee!
manager of the facility.
MR KOMBEE;
Welcome to my farm!
9

MR KOMBEE;
To have a good idea of how this facility works,
10

MR KOMBEE;
You have to start from the top!
11

MR KOMBEE;
Lets take the elevator!
12

On the roof, we have;
A small garden,
Solar panels,
and water condensators, which absorbs and filtrate it from the soil we actually
stand on!
13

MR KOMBEE;
On the 5th level, we have the poultry,
and also keep pigs.
AGENT #2;
Why are there so much dogs and monkeys around?
14

MR KOMBEE;
We have a kind of symbiosis with them, the monkeys harvest from the forest around the city,
and they can take as much as they want,
the dogs also protect the chickens and cows, which allows them to go in the forest.
we give them treats, and take care of them.
15

MR KOMBEE;
On the 4th level, we keep the cows and goats, they go along their protectors very well.
16

AGENT #1;
We re not sure about that animal friendship...
17

MR KOMBEE;
This is level 3, nursery lab #2,
we grow most of our wheat here.
it s an hydroponic system.
we also produce honey, and the bees pollinate for us!
18

MR KOMBEE;
At level #2, we have the nursery lab #1,
the labs mostly do tests, crossing of breeds,
trying to make the best food possible!
AGENT #1;
What kind of policy is this?
19

AGENT#2;
You should make the cheapest possible, and produce masses of it!
AGENT#1;
You will see, we will make a fortune with this place!
20

MR KOMBEE;
What s going on here?
MAYOR;
Don t worry, we will talk about this,
we don t do changes now, remember?
AGENT #1;
Of course not!
we where just inspired by the facility, the promises
of another kind of management style!
21

MR KOMBEE;
Finally, level #1, here we have a butchery,
and a dairy where we make cheese,
22

MR KOMBEE;
we have 2 stations to milk the cows, which is stored in the tanks,
we have a small storage area here too.
These big pipes are those we use to load the grain truck,
MAYOR;
So you see? the farm is a profitable business!
23

AGENT #1;
Under proper management it could flourish!
AGENT #2;
We saw lots of employees, I m sure 2 could manage it all!
24

MAYOR;
Hum, the next location our tour brings us to, is the power station!
25

CREATOR S LOG;
So there it is, a vertical farm, although real ones don t have animals,
I figured it would be possible, even useful.
my next post should be the Metal Legion!
