About this creation

BIO TIME!
Name: Jethryn
Gender: Male
Species: Unknown, but is considered a Toa
Element: Lightning
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Titles: Strike of Lightning, Stormhawk, Bounty Hunter
Kanohi: None; wears a Conduit Mask to breathe
Alignment: Neutral
MOC Status: Built
Personality: Embittered, cynical and sarcastic, but self-confident. Tends not to speak unless he finds his opinion necessary.
Bio: Jethryn is extremely mysterious, as no one remembers where he came from, not even himself. No one remembers ever seeing him as a Matoran. Jethryn occasionally wonders about his past, but that's not what's on his mind the most. Jethryn's a bounty hunter, able to do whatever job you want, as long as you pay well. However, he does have a strict code: he is not allowed to kill unless it is justified. He will only kill if in a situation where killing will save someone else. Jethryn has done many jobs, and through his years of bounty hunting, Jethryn has earned the name "Stormhawk", as a reference to the Stormblood Prophecy, relating to a semi-righteous warrior of mass destruction.

Eventually, when the Makuta returned, he was slightly worried, but at the same time, very pleased. He knew that eventually, the Toa would hire him to take them down, meaning he would get more widgets. Sure enough, they did. On his Makuta hunting missions, he occasionally ran into a Toa Team known as the Neo-Toa Mangai. He took a liking to the leader, Lucem. Eventually, Jethryn began helping the Neo-Toa Mangai on their missions, almost becoming an honorary member. That didn't stop him from staying a bounty hunter, though.

Theme: "Reconstructing Science" from Portal 2

So, here's Jethryn himself.

Back.

Legs, based off of the ones used on Keelara.

Back.

Upper legs, nothing custom here.

Back, showing how the daggers attach.

Torso.

Lower arms. Upper arms will be shown later.

Back of the lower arms.

Head. More pictures later.

In the Jethryn "landing" pose.

Gimped, shooting lightning from his hands.

With his sword.

And yes, it does light up.

Gimped, in an action pose!

With his daggers.

Compared with Spencer.

Compared with Inika Man, Ruler of Mineshafts.

J: Die, size comparison scum!
IM: AHRG!!!!!!!

Compared with an actual Inika build.
IM: Hey!

Without his cloak.

Back.

Better shot of the head. Yeah, it is blocky, but it is supposed to be covered by the hood.

Upper arms.

Outside.

J: See you later.

Powering down the fourth wall generators: So yeah, this is Jethryn, Hawkflight (formerly Stormjay Rider and Stormjay Exserion)'s Self-MOC. And honestly, I really like it. it has to be one of my favorite MOCs. It feels nice and solid, and, although it does occasionally get messed up, the hood looks really nice in my opinion.

So, that's it for this MOC! If you liked it, please rate and comment, and feel free to take a look at some of my other MOCs!

Quoting Evan Botkin Very nice. The head is pretty blocky but it's alright. The cloak looks good but I think it should be tucked in a little more. Otherwise, nice work.
I recently actually tried adding more bulk to the head to make it look a little less blocky, so hopefully that will help. As for the cloak, the only place where it can be tucked in is under the chest armor.

Quoting Stormjay Exserion Pretty nicely done here. The color scheme is done well (although it might be a little too much white for my taste) except in the torso (but then again, I need to fix that on mine first.) The lower legs look okay, but there is still the gap there, and the Skrall armor pieces don't work so much (they don't cover the knees and they extend too far out from the legs.) I would have liked to see you make an actual sheath for the dagger and attach it to the leg or with a shoulder-belt. I have mixed opinions about the lower arms, they seem a bit too blocky and too wide from side-to-side from the front. The back is a bit better. Head is okay when it's covered by the hood, but on its own looks very meh (then again, I could say that about a lot of your custom heads.) Not a fan of the fingers, keeping the Exo Force arms would work better. The uncloaked lower arms look decent, but underarmored, but that doesn't really matter much. Despite my nitpicking, though, this is one of my favorite renditions of the character. (Also, Thanks for following up on the pose requests.)
I have already fixed the lower leg armor, and shall be sending you a picture of it on G+. The lower arms are one of the things I do greatly agree with you on. I honestly feel they just need more armor. The only reason I didn't make sheaths for the daggers is because I'm lazy, though I'll see what I can do. :P As for the fingers, I would have used Exo-Force arms, except I'm out of them. :/ Anyways, thanks for the review, Stormy. Nice to see that you like it. :)
