In the 25th Century Mecha are the dominant form of transport in a vast, and sometimes lawless, galaxy.
Function: Infantry class mech
Description: Following on the trend, started by Andros Corp, of naming their military class mecha units after breeds of dogs, the first of the mass produced infantry class C120 series was nicknamed "Yorkie" after the Yorkshire Terrier. When asked "why Yorkie?" the lead designer Jonython Gillias simply replied, "They are small and make a lot of noise, plus they shake a lot." Yorkies are the backbone of many militia units across the galaxy, cheap to manufacture and maintain and with the capacity to be loaded out with a large variety of small arms. Civilian units are easily overwhelmed. Many soldiers have taken to mocking the Yorkie, referring to it as a CanFo, or "Cannon Fodder".
Weaknesses: They were not designed with arms making them near impossible to self right if knocked off their feet. Can have difficulty balancing if given uneven payloads.
As I've now decided to try and do something with this theme on Lego Ideas, it seemed logical to develop sets for difference price points. Most of the early REBOOT figures, despite being quite small, come in at over 100 bricks. Since the average for a small Creator set is around 25-30 bricks, this meant this wasn't going to be a pocket money series. I needed to think smaller.
Not that this is a huge step backwards, this figure has over 70 parts, 13 points of articulation, and stands approximately 77mm.
