Temple's second main aircraft, the Temple Mule Mk. I.
About this creation
As said in the Whitetail MOC, Temple experimented with a monoplane design with the Temple Whitetail Mk. III, of which a single prototype was built. In 1933, with production of the Mk. I and II Whitetail ending, Temple finally designed a monoplane general-purpose bomber, resulting in the Temple Mule Mk. I. Changes from the Whitetail other than the removal of the upper wing included the installation of a cowling over a more powerful engine, shortening of the tailplane, increased bomb load, the moving of the rear defensive machine-gun to the front, and adding one machine-gun to each wing. The Temple Mule Mk. I served until 1938, when the Hawker Hurricane entered service. The Temple Mule is famous for being one of the first aircraft to achieve a top speed of more than 200mph.

A view of the right side of the aircraft. Not much to see here other than that.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop looking at my backside?!" Note the shortened tail.

The left side, pretty much identical to the right.

The bottom of the aircraft, nothing special.

Specs:

Country of origin: UK
Powerplant: 850-horsepower 14-cylinder 2-row radial engine
Top Speed: 210mph
Armament: 3x 0.303-inch machine-guns in the forward fuselage; 2x 0.303-inch machine-guns in the wings
