Zacchaeus
About this creation
This year at BrickWorld 2014, Aidan Frusher headed a small 16x16 Biblical MOC collaboration and asked me to contribute. Initially I was on the fence about joining due to time constraints, but a few days before the con I got inspired and whipped this up in a day or so.

He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:1-10 (ESV)

Very poetic. only misses the mumbling crowd (but it was a small dio, I admit).

Hm.. Zacchaeus doesn't look that "small in stature", but this is still an excellent MOC.

Thanks for the comments guys! Just FYI, the "light blue" is actually sand blue. The color pops in the pictures, but in reality it looks much more subdued. Cheers!

Quoting Mark McPeek I would've bet this was Paul's though...
Haha, I'm flattered, but I'd need a bit more olive cheese to pass as a Vermeesch.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus ...but it is nothing more than a new colour...
The man speaks truth! Which is exactly why I decided to branch out and give olive green (and sand blue) a whirl instead of reverting to the common earth tones. I think it's in the nature of the hobby to try out new things.

Cleaver how you got him to sit in the tree. I did not even notice the light blue when I saw it in person.

Great job! I always appreciate it when I find a good bible MOC on the Pages. The tree and the path look amazing; and the olive green makes it look much richer than it would if you had simply used green. However, I'm not sure how I feel about the placement of the light blue.

That tree is well-built. I do not get all the fascination about olive green, though. I know it is for the most part a joke, but it is nothing more than a new colour. Like dark tan was and dark brown and so on.
