What do we have here? The next aircraft installment in my WWII Minis series. The aircraft modeled is a P-47D "bubble canopy"-variant Thunderbolt, and simply taking off one piece (just one!) to make a P-51D Mustang. This model was built from my own bricks, modified from my A6M Zero/FW-190 build, which in turn was modified from the Lego Creator set 5762 "Mini Plane".
Here we see a side view of the P-47, showing off it's gloriously simple design.
Another side view, from the opposite side of the aircraft.
"Stop looking at my butt!" Here you can see the "detail" that went into creating the tail-end of the plane.
The bottom, displaying its six 50-cal machine-guns and more of the tailplane and engine work.
Simply take off that 1x2 brick under the prop and you get a P-51D Mustang!
