SturmTiger 1/15 (RC)
yes... it does shoot bricks.
About this creation
well here it is, my first Tank with a working gun. The SturmTiger was a conversion of my Tiger I Ausf. E ; it still features all of the details on the inside but with the removal of the turret and an added casemate. The 38 cm naval rocket launcher on the real SturmTiger could inflict massive amounts of damage to infrastructure and Obliterate bunkers with its 125 kg explosive payloads.
My model features a fully detailed engine deck, working torsion-bar suspension, 2 speed+neutral gearbox, gun elevation and depression, crank start up function for battery box, working hatches, and a 3 round auto-loading gun.

The rear hatch accesses the switch for the lights

the Firing mechanism was fun to design because of my previous gun builds and I improved and compacted Kelkschiz's mechanism.
The mechanism can fire a 3x1 technic beam 25-30 ft depending on gun's elevation.
It's very powerful, it can shoot bricks into foam and through paper.

the 2 speed transmission

Torsion-bar suspension

if only lego would sell these...

so I am planning future builds and instructions for a upcoming tank and I'm debating between a 1/15 King Tiger or 1/15 M4A2 Sherman.
The problems with a king tiger
it uses a different interleaving road wheel system that what I normally use (could lead to problems with torsion bars like on my elefant, leading to track failures)
large amount of parts, it will likely contain a similar interior to what the tiger I has.
complex turret shaping.
incorrect tracks for model ( should have 6-7 stud wide tracks)

Pros
iconic tank
lots of features
transmission

For the M4A2 Sherman

problems with a Sherman

tracks are easily prone to falling apart under torque and hard obstacles
round turret ( not the easiest thing to do)

Pros
transmission
many features
detailed engine deck (will have 6 cylinder engine)
crank start for battery box
ease for producing instructions when compared to a larger model vehicle like the tiger II
fewer parts would have to be purchased to build the model.
many variations, possible flail attachment, more potential for modifications.

hey the commander just noticed that you left our clan, he knows your situation, and said you didnt have to leave, you could have stayed, and then when you were able to play, come back online, if you would like to come back, you can if it was a misunderstanding

Excellent work man! The shooting function is something else; very few LEGO tanks include such a detail :-D

I would love to see a clip of it because the shooting function on this model is really cool. Nevertheless, awesome creation :">

Beautiful Sturmtiger! I'd say go with the Sherman, just because you have less cons and more pros.

Quoting Matt Bace Great job once again! The nice thing about this build is that the huge fixed turret gives you plenty of space to work with.
Yeah it gives me lots of space but most I of it is all ready used ,and the gun can only elevate +2. Studs because of the height of the roof.

nice, and with the KT you could make custom tracks out of legos... more pieces, but better tracks...
